I really enjoy the variety that the armor dye system has brought to the game, but I find that everyone owning the identical version of a scant few mounts (though it has gotten better) to be lacking.
Why not create a feature where the saddle can be crafted, depending on the quality of your Medium Armor skill, and subsequently dyed, to remove the sameness of the mounts? I envision that all racial styles should be represented. I know this is a lot of artistic work, but would be way better than just adding horse armor. Though, for Blacksmithing aficionados, that would be great too. As long as it's customizable by race style and dyeing.
Also, can we please have horse-riding in first-person?

✭Also, anybody interested in horse/guar racing? Might be good if it were not just a race but an obstacle course, like a circuit around Ash Mountain for instance, leaping over lava rivers... Winners could receive unique saddles....1 -

+1 this. I'd love to be able to craft and dye my own saddles and armour - the crafted items could be linked to the rider like the riding skills are, so a different rider on the same horse colour/guar/cat would still have their own style and colour.
While mounts are now much more varied (a good thing), this idea would make them more varied still. Speaking as someone who has made new models and textured them, it wouldn't be massively difficult to achieve, but it would require ZOS's poly-pushers to take a little time.RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend, my Shining Light.
