Wait, why would PvE'rs come to cyrodiil to pve for a few minutes to get a 20% AP bonus?

If you start your PvP time off slaying a boss in a Delve, you're going to gain AP faster.

A little PvE before your PvP if you're trying to maximize AP gains.

Sounds neat, but not sure how well this will work out; we have occasionally run into problems shoving large groups into delves, getting hung up on the door.

I just called my friend who pvps. His idea is why do they want to try and force people who only want to pvp into delves. Cyrodill shouldnt even have delves. So ya useless coding again when we have major issues need addressed in cyrodill.

I like the delves and other PvE elements that make Cyrodiil feel fleshed out. I enjoy PvE and PvP equally. Ironically, though, this will make it tougher for my characters who haven't completed the Cyrodiil content but that just makes it more of a challenge.

Id guess (and yes its only a guess) most people who pvp want to pvp. Having to go do a delve first seems like just busy work. Why cant there be some bonus for PVP and AP that revolves around pvp and not pve?

That's a pve mentality.. U should prolly stay in pve.. I personally will be heading right for them hoping to find some there ;)

Some of those delves are nicely designed, love them. Some of my fondest newbie pvp memories included exploring them and encountering enemy players, until later when they became nearly completely abandoned. Great to see they will be resurrected!

Haha yes. A campaign where your faction is dominating is very smart. It would also help a lot if you get a guild group together to run them. Tons of fun, and you're a bit more prepared if any PvP does arise.

Cyrodiil is not just PvP, it is also PvE in PvP, which is a separate kind of fun that different people enjoy.

    I certainly enjoy that.

From solo PvE, group PvE, PvE in PvP to PvP, this game has a little something for just about everyone.

Thats what Im asking myself. I am strictly PVE I never go to cyrodill and have 0 interest in AP.
It's not for the PVEers. It's for the PVPers.

I used to PVE in Cyrodiil, but I guess I won't be doing that anymore since this new feature appears to be designed to make people like me easy prey for the PVP gankers.

Oh well. Plenty of other things to do.

Everyone I know who is into PVP hates PVE. So ya its not for the pvp people.
Oh it's definitely for the PVP players- they're the ones who can actually use the AP bonus. PVE players who are only there to clear delves and collect skyshards and lore books can't really make any use of it unless they kill someone in self defense.

Now whether the PVPers even want a PVP bonus for PVE content or not is a different matter. ZOS will give them that bonus whether they like PVE or not!

Hell for all we know people who hardcore PvP might not even think the time investment going to a delve and killing a boss is worth it. They might just shrug their shoulders, and just go to where the battles are. I doubt everyone is going to stop what they're doing every hour and re-farm a delve to get the buff again.

    Carry on.

Because everyone you know is everyone.

I love to PvP, and I love to PvE. My guild does PvE in Cyrodiil pretty heavily. And the PvP in delves is awesome. The most awesome experience was when all three alliances were represented in one delve. DC and EP were fighting near a boss, and we were stealthed, and kept drawing monsters in to fight in the other two alliances fight. By the time they figured out that there was a third group in there, we were able to down the combined players left. Then... on the way back out after killing the boss, we ran into the EP group again. Then while we were fighting them, the DC group came back.

    Good times, good times.

I said everyone I know. Might help to actually read the post before responding to it.

That means that the point I was making went directly over your head. Perhaps because you're the one that didn't read the post.

Right after you said Everyone I know who is into PVP hates PVE. you said, So ya its not for the pvp people.

So you turned a scope of the people you know into everyone, in the same line. You can't make this kind of stuff up.

Not inside but close to gates. New routine of PvP will be got closest and safest delve, wait till boss spawns, kill it and write /stuck to get faster to battle. After 1h repeat.

20% AP buff isn't a smart choice to ignore. Ether you go for emp, rank or gear 20% buff is must have! [/quote]

That's precisely it, people need siege, want emp and the gear in Cyrodiil. That would be like writing off Baron in LoL even tho he gives a massive ATK buff, just because LoL is a PvP game. I mean I get it, like arses, you all have opinions, but talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth. To those who act like this is some giant slight against the PvP sanctity of Cyrodiil, stfu, ur dumb, any group of 4 or more should be able to quickly and painlessly be able to find, kill and leave any of the delves around the map. As someone stated earlier, if you aren't interested in it, fine, ignore it, but don't think you are something special just because u live in *bleeping* la la land. Face it, you aren't the only person/people out there, some of us will gladly enjoy the opportunity to get our Vet purps faster.

Brings back memories and the joy of Darkness Falls in DAOC. I would love that zone in this game. Huge massive sized dungeon with 3 entrance points, 1 for each faction. Monsters/Bosses get progressively harder as you go deeper and deeper till you meet the other faction at the intersection where all 3 sides can fight. Special loot merchants for gear earned in there....
That's my hope for imperial city! I say top 2 factions on scoring can always zone in and fight in the city, push the 3rd out, but the drawback is you're in there that 3rd alliance is working on earning way back in.

I would also say balance it, the 2 sides allowed in earn same amount of points to the war totals for fighting in there.... random thoughts...

I get that, what I don't get is the complaint that PvE'rs are going to take up spots in the campaigns because of a change like this.

It won't be PvE'rs taking up spots, it will be people busy in delves instead of taking resources and keeps. I hear complaints about it already now and I distinctly remember the frustration of wanting to take keeps in DAOC to take Darkness Falls but people were PvEing in the frontiers and not interested.

The problem will be when one faction that isn't bothering with delves is attacking a faction that is. It may not be a large problem and then again it might, I don't know.

    Let's see.

They would come for the same reason they do now - the skill point for each new PVP rank and the new dye with every fourth rank.

    Server stability issues, etc.?

Because since TU launched, the game's quality has nose-dived for me. Back at launch, I actually had ~60-100 fps as a norm, now a days I'm lucky to get anywhere near 50 (on rare occasions), let alone wep swap lag, etc. and dungeons becoming almost unplayable.

Not trying to come off as rude, but what is being done to make this game regain the quality it once had?

@ZOS_GinaBruno is Eric's team still looking into ways to make the Sorcerer toolkit more useful for more than a small handful of magicka based builds?

And also in response to the Werewolf questions from the last ESO Live I've thrown together my views on the skill tree and would like others to share their opinions as well since, even now in a better state than pre 1.5 there is still much that can be done.
