After the patch, they verify some of the fixes and pull them from patch notes if it's still not quite as they hoped. This minimizes post patch changes to notes.
I could sort of understand that if I experienced it in any other MMO but so far this is the only one. Games like Star Trek Online post the notes hours before a patch, even the day before.
I don't understand how their process lets them do that but I do appreciate it. I wish ESO would do similar. I don't want today's patch notes last night but I would like them shortly after the server goes down. I think we all would.

- If you contribute to killing a boss in a Cyrodiil delve, you will now be granted a 60-minute AP buff which increases your AP gains by 20%.
- Note: While this buff will be visible in areas outside of Cyrodiil, it will only be active while in Cyrodiil.
Incoming complaints about "being forced to pve" inside of Cyrodiil, even though you already have to kill off NPC's to take keeps in the first place and the actual PVP is with players in those areas, just as it will be in delves when people go to get their AP buffs. This is actually a clever mechanism to encourage people to go into them more, and naturally spread people out a little more to help the server load as a result since it's unlikely in a group of 50 people that everyone's buff is due to expire at the exact same time
.
What's next to surprise me in a good way by the ESO team? The user interface is going to be fixed? Like this: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/160517/blast-from-the-past-tuesday-eso-2-0-is-good-lets-make-it-better ?!

To my future AD & EP victims, you didn't have to go into this delve, you are here because you are greedy and your greed has now left you in a puddle of blood.

I knew it!! Cyrodiil delves becoming gank fests!
Thats the thing. For 20% this idea of a gank is off. I'm telling you; it will be zergs. A gank squad in there is going to be like a hair clog in a pipe and the zerg will come pouring through like Drano. And they will be in and out of there just as fast.

In addition, some of our community have long requested better incentives to do the delves in Cyrodiil, and increase the skirmishes in them. The general feeling was that the Cyrodiil delves were not worth the potential risk. This change is in response to that feedback, too.

Couldn't you have the maintenance team come in early on Monday morning get it done when the server population is at one of it's lowest levels and doesn't impact people's play time. I know a lot of people who work during the weekend and have Mondays off and they get shafted almost every week because they can't play for many hours.
Working in IT I get asked to do late nights and week nd work. Most times though, unless it's a physical move of a server or something that requires a PC restart, is the overtime spent isn't worth it.
- Applying it after hours means you have a smaller staff, meaning less staff to help with an issue that occurs (yes, they WILL occur )
- The longer the time from the patch to your moderate traffic means the more time you need to rollback if there is a significant issue. Having few people on means fewer to test, observe, and report.
- If something breaks after the patch and it's late, the person that needs to fix it could be out. Similar to above, but even after applying the patch you still need support folks to help ya.
- Time and a half or extra pay cuts into budgets, reducing the money you have to develop with.
So, they officaiily announce, that can't code lag reduction and now we must change our play style, instead of reducing lag on mass pvp, they want to eliminate mass pvp... I wonder, do they even remember, that going to cyro delve, you lose area communication with ally?

People will just go into a delve that is firmly in their territory. And they probably will have big numbers available so if they spot anyone else trying to go there, it will just be a farm like in enemy resource towers. no one there, they move on with a 20% AP boost.
I see very little PvP in this other than some very one sided wipes.

30mins to patch and +2-3h to realize what have they done.

Don't forget that if it works an people spread out, it might be possible to increase pop locks again.
@ZOS_GinaBruno does everybody in the party get the buff or only the player with the killing blow?

I am sick and tired of the several hours it takes to implement their patches. People want to play the game not sit around for hours waiting.

I'm lost what do you mean delves where not worth the potential risk? I'm somewhat new but wondered I never see any pvp in delves is there or is it changing to soon be gankewrs in the delves?
also what are pop locks
