Hey Zenimax! Considering adding collectable for armor skins?

EXAMPLE! On Guild Wars 2, you can choose to "Add skin to collectable" on an item, causing the piece to be "bound". This means you now have the skin unlocked, but the item can no longer be traded. You can then use transmutation charges to change the appearence of each part of your gear.

This is hands down one of my favorite features on GW2. We are not forced to look a certain way to get the advantage of certain gear. We are able to mix and match our own unique look which gives us endless possibilities to roleplay and enjoy customization.

I'm not asking you to copy Guild Wars 2, but similar feature would be something I would simply love for ESO. Maybe make it subscribe exclusive? it's only customization after all, and not game changing. It would definately motivate more players to pay monthly. ( I personally believe that such a feature should be available for everyone. But if it would require them to implement it in this way, I wouldn't mind as long as we got it )

Question to Zenimax: Are you already considering making such a feature? Yes, No, why, can't talk about it?

Let me know what you all think about this.

Getting Some Skin In The Game

I could go for something like that, and the new collections tab is definitely a step in the right direction.

Making changes to armor (and presumably weapon) skins would require some coding magic, but with costumes already implemented, there may indeed already be something like this in the works.

Obviously, ZOS has a lot going on right now aside from the console launch scramble, so I wouldn't expect anything real soon on this front, but you never know.

And it never hurts to ask. :)

Totally agree this is a great feature of gw2.
This game has costumes under collections, all skins are stored there. No cost to use them either, plus all the stats from your armor are present when wearing one of the skins. One difference being skins here are a complete outfit, rather than the mixture you can have in gw2.

I'm worried that something like this would hurt crafting and the motifs so many have sunk time and gold into.
