Free Pet? "Young Wasp"

Can someone tell me how I'm picking up a pet called "Young Wasp"? It's the third or fourth time it started joining me and fighting with me over the last few weeks. I'm happy for the help and would love to know how to proactively pick him up. Last time I picked him up was in Greenshade. It was from a wasp fight. However, not all wasp fights grant the pet. Is it a certain color or type of wasp that I need to fight to get the pet?

likewow777✭✭✭I believe it's the giant yellow wasps, but if it's not you can expect this sort of thing to happen from time to time. The little wasp does eventually die of its own accord if you don't get into fights, though... :'("War doesn't build character, it reveals it."2 -

These are on normal wasps (not swarming). I'm not killing them mad fast (maybe 4k DPS) so maybe that's why I'm getting it?0 -

Yeah ,Now as a funny addition to the game you get a baby, I've never got them from anything but the red ones I don't believe.
And I'm not sure about the speed needed but if two clean them up fast no baby results. I can kill them pretty quickly but still get the occasional buddy.
