The elusive (bugged?), Stormhaven, Dreugh Shrimp

Has anyone managed to catch one of these Dreugh Shrimp in Stormhaven? They are said to be found in the rivers.

I've caught every other collectable fish in this zone. I've now spent at least 4x the amount of total time spent fishing in this zone, to catch every other fish, and still haven't managed to catch a Dreugh Shrimp? Probably about 300 casts in the river, and none found.

Is this thing bugged?

Old thread, but any one caught the Dreugh Shrimp recently? Can you confirm it's in a river?

You know, I just realized that I have never tried fishing for some reason. Is it like Wow, a big time waster?
As a casual player I was satisfied that at one point I had a char max level and near max crafting with almost all motifs and I pretty much lost interest. Then ESO discovered DLC's and now my main is just a wanabe and I am happily pulled back into the game.

Yes and no. You can now fillet fish for cooking, but most probably do it for the Master Angler title.

That depends on your definition of "time waster" LOL. Fishing is now useful because you can fillet the fish and use it in recipes. Yum.

As for the post topic, I have not caught that one yet.

I caught one, but it was the most difficult to catch in Stormhaven. Yes, its in the river, I caught mine nowhere near the Dreugh area.

I use this chart to help me while fishing.... https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/195fJ7bK4hkXYgncC4Dpp6FIZqKAr5M6wEg7yaIjfoVA/edit?pli=1#gid=0

It shows the water type and any special notes about the zone. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the confirm. How long ago would you say you caught it? I've seen that chart too and use the rare fish tracker app.

I would guess about a month ago. I actually caught the fish twice, once way back a year ago, just after release. But, the people I was fishing with also caught it at the same time, and it was the last fish in the hole, so one of them took it before I could hit R.

I seriously had to go back and fish over and over for that shrimp. I probably used a stack and a half of bugs on just that fish. At least it's not bugged like the Stros Mkai one, where you can't catch it with worms, you gotta use chub.

Dreugh Shrimp: I caught it just NE of Dro'dara Plantation Wayshrine, at base of falls emptying into what looks like a pond but nonetheless welcomed the insect parts bait. I estimate that I spent about 300 insect parts until caught, just for this one fish. On a positive note, I received 3 Perfect Roe from that many fish.
