it's something i've strongly felt game companies should do with certain games that they release on multiple consoles/systems, I really like playing ESO but my computer has been having some issues with it since i recently returned but I don't feel like paying another $60 just to play it on my ps4 when i already have it for this, the only reason i've brought this subject up is because of the game going F2P (if you already own a copy of the game).

what do others think of something like this? maybe it's something they could consider doing in the future or just keep it how it is.

No as everyone had time to pre-order on PC then from April - June you could've purchased it.

They made a big deal of it so sorry if you decided to wait until later, you missed the opportunity.

Gaming is one of the only software industries where a product use license does not entitle you to usage on all available platforms. The only major exception to this is mobile phone software, and that is due to a policy decision made by the distributors (google and apple) to try and maintain market share by locking customers to a specific operating system.

Simply put, the PC version should get the console UI and controls, and the console versions get the PC UI and controls. Plenty of people have keyboards and mice connected to their consoles. Also we should be getting full cross-platform play, not segregation. The last thing a game with population issues needs to do is create a barrier.

End the tedious inventory management game.

well thats due mostly to the differences and competition between microsoft and sony. Bethesda really isn't like that I feel and it's something else they could further offer to those who have a new gen console but no longer have the ability to play on their computer

The game didn't go F2P. It went B2P. You bought the right to play on the PC server. You didn't buy the right to play on the game system servers.
Companies have to make money somehow...

What industries DO allow this? Movies? You have to use specific service for different movie publishers... you can't go from VuDu to CinemaNow. You can't go from Kindle to Google Books.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

I just wish the console versions and PC versions could play on the same server. I love the game, but it certainly doesn't have 13 million players so I would really hate to see some of you leave for the console version :(

If you owned the game and a valid subscription before July you can transfer your complete account over to a console for 20bux. Just search the FAQs its there.
The console was supposed to release then. It didn't. So they made the offer so people could get a headstart on the computer.
All your bank, characters, everything transfers over there. Doesn't delete from Computer servers either, they'll be there when your computer is fixed.
    Good luck.

That is probably something to do with the fact that it cost some money to ZOS for using Microsoft and Sony services. That money has to come from somewhere and i am not interested in subsidizing it for you.
