Lock boxes are a horrible mechanic designed to make you spend more money.
Let's hope ZOS keep to a system where you see what you're paying for and not an RNG system which uses your real life money.
Lock boxes in PVE/PVP fine, but not for Crowns.
Not going to get into a silly argument about how ZOS "lied". They've never lied, technically speaking.
Cheese can be quite valuable you know! Someone had a thread asking how to find it the other day. They'll never add lockboxes.... They MIGHT add "Uncle Sheo's Surprise Gift of Plenty" which gives you a surprise that isn't known until you open it.... or it might just be cheese!
Definitely NO lockboxes. I hate the things. Let's keep ESO gambling-free, please.

I know that Lock Boxes are a controversial subject in MMOs. While not a fan of them myself, I understand that that is just my opinion and other people may really like that thrill of gambling.
In every game with a Cash Shop that I have played, lock boxes inevitably show up sooner or later. ( For those not familiar with them, they are boxes you can buy and, when opened, you have a small chance of getting some really epic and/or rare loot. Usually you just get helpful items or common stuff. The idea behind it is to get players to buy a bunch of them to improve their odds of acquiring the desired item. )
So if they ever come to TESO, just one request: Please make the rare items available as a separate purchase. Maybe make them the cost of four lockboxes or something, but don't create gear that can only be got via lock boxes.
Thank you!
ZOS definitively said that no form of lockboxes would be coming to ESO in their Tamriel Unlimited AUA on Reddit. So /thread

Really? THAT'S the breaking point?
