Character selection should be ordered in levels.

Currently our characters are ordered on the character selection screen by the time that they were created, with earlier characters put higher up the selection screen. I have 6 characters currently all above level 15, with one at veteran 14 and another at veteran 1. My veteran 14 is at the top of the selection screen with my veteran 1 at the bottom. It may just be some form of OCD but I just can't deal with not having the characters ordered by their level.

I was wondering if there was an addon to fix this or whether Zenimax coukd please look into giving us an option to change the order at which our characters appear on the selection screen?

I have trouble with the character selection screen as well... But I wanted it to be arranged by Faction, not level

Having both options would be a bit of hassle (like an excel table where you can order alphabetically, by level, by faction, etc...) so I suppose a solution that would make everyone happy would be to allow us to rearrange the order with click + drag, no?

So to sum up the suggestion it would be great to have a sort button with criteria selectable by drop down list.

So suggested filters:

1. Most played
2. By level
3. By faction
4. By Name
5. By Profession

Of course showing the craft levels would also be nice but not related to this suggestion.

We don't need Filters, we don't need some arbitrary order. All we need is the ability to click and drag the characters into the order we want them in. It's a GUI, there is no reason why this can not be allowed. Make a frame, with 8 slots in it and let us drag our character synopsis to it.

Then we all can have what we want how we want it.

I agree that this is an issue that could need fixing, but I really think there are other things that need looking into first. Like getting the PvP part of the game to work at all. Or making the LFG tool work as intended. Or making the guild bank stack, and having it show the first time you ask for it instead of on the third or fourth attempt. Or... well, you get the idea. The list of bugs that I think should be fixed before this one is quite long. But sure, it would be a nice feature to be able to reorder the list of characters.

Definitely agree with this. Please let me change the order of my characters!

Since we have a limited number of character slots, having them fixed in the order that they were made can be a little annoying.

I know this thread is a little old, but rather than make a new one, I would rather post here.

I agree that drag and drop would be best because it allows everyone to pick their own order. By level, by name, by faction, by armour colour scheme....

All I always wanted to see at the character select screen is the last login of each character.
So often I find myself at the stables where I see it's still half an hour left for the next horse training. I hate that because it takes a while to login, and even longer to login with 8 characters.

How about simply letting us CHOOSE the order by moving them by dragging, clicking, whatever, rather than convoluted ordering schemes?

Even the much-despised WOW has allowed this for ages.

Yes, I've been getting so bothered by this lately - I want to write a support ticket to change the order. + 1 more for 'Drag and Drop'.
