Those with Senche: Is she slightly too small?

Tapio75

✭✭✭✭✭
UESP description:

The Senche is commonly employed by the other Khajiit breeds as a steed, presumably by will. Roughly the same height as the average Altmer, with an average weight comparable to that of twenty Altmer."

I feel that length is somewhat right, but the weight could make this tiger a bit more bulkier than it is now.. However i dont think it would be aesthetically as pleasing as now..

What i am after here, is that is our dear sweet Senche a wee bit too small scaled to larger characters like tall Khajit, Altmer or Nord (Not that Altmer, not to mention Nord could ride senche, they would propably have them as snack).

I feel that the poor Senche often feels wee bit too small for me, i mean my Khajiti is large with heavy armor.. Quite a bit of weight there and also when riding one, the poor tiger just looks like a kitten :)

I think maybe 10% increase in size would make this Senche feel better with most characters, what do you think?

DISCLAINMER: I am happy and thankful for this beautiful Senche, i am in no way unthankful of having one, i just wish they would be slightly bigger.

Maybe i was imagining to get Senche Raht :)

The senche tiger isn't a Khajiit, confirmed by the loremaster. It's just a tiger. Descriptions from UESP are irrelevant.

I'm okay with its size, just a little miffed when I'm standing next to Altmer riders. Kitties scaled to female Bosmer are so much smaller than everyone else's...

You should check out the Pet Senche. It's half the size of the in game mob tigers. I have some screenshots of Sylvester standing next to some docile Bengals.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I voted yes for you even tho I don't ride mine at all (for now until its not a staple you see everywhere), however some players I have seen look really ridiculous on such a tiny mount.

Wasn't one of their selling points that made it "special" from others to be sold in crown store was armor and size? If they are bigger (the bought loyalty mount) I hate to see the housecat mounts people will be buying from crown shop LOL
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

Having it any bigger will make it look stupid like the mounts in wow... They are the size of the wild ones. Making them bigger is just making it more anime/stupid looking.

The senche mount is not a true senche. This was confirmed by the loremaster.

The size of the mount is actually closer to a phamar or phamar-rhat.

I mean, sure it might be a bit small... Like a formula one car. Though I would not be opposed to a 10% increase.

She's too small. Contrary to that picture above I put mine on my small character next to another ridden by my larger friend and they were the same size. Height, length same.

    There's no right answer really.

Most of my characters are statuesque and dress like House Dunmers. They'd look silly on such a mount.

However, much like the Bosmers, I have one Dunmer gal who's short and dressed in a nice mix of Primal and Barbaric.

    It suits her....

The tigers are the same height as a normal horse when ridden by an Altmer.

There is a quest in Malabal Tor where I think you actually see a senche. A named one at that. And he is huge. Perhaps more than double your mounts. And he is looked after by a female Khajiit who looks very fond of him :P

Yup. A white senche who is roughly the actual size of a senche described in lore.

There is usually a Z axis range a player character cannot exceed in a game world such as this. Thus most mounts are limited in how tall they can be. I would not expect them to offer rideable camels much less Titans ;)

Every wild cat in the Dominion is called a senche, you might have noticed. The small panther pet is called a senche. It seems to simply be a general name for many types of felines.

Don't diss Loremaster Lawrence, the guy's good - and ESO lore is just as real as that of any other TES game.

It is a bit small, true. But I don't see this as a problem...

I've talked about that on some other thread (can't remember which one) but I think that they might've made the Senche a bit smaller than horses because it feels FASTER that way.

Making the tiger literally faster would be unfair to others... But making it smaller makes it look faster without really being faster. That is incredibly smart, if you ask me.

So, please, no. Don't change the Tiger size, ZOS! They feel amazingly fast and that's awesome.

You can't ATM, the one being talked about was given to people who'd paid for 300 days time before the game went B2P on March 17. There will be a variant in the Store some time.

I don't really care what your opinion of @Lawrence_Schick is. All I stated is that he gave an explanation as the loremaster. And like it or not, he is the loremaster for this game. And you are welcome to have whatever opinion about that you want.

The game description refers to the Senche mount as "semi-domesticated" which calls into questions their sapience.

"Senche" is just a word in Ta'agra. We don't know for certain how it translates, but it's not really a stretch to say that is has multiple apllications.

How do you explain away the IN GAME description that's ON the mount @fromtesonlineb16_ESO?

"A semi-domesticated version of the wild Senche-Tiger, this distant relative of the Khajiit..."

    77IuSbL.jpg?1

It was because of this possible confusion I submitted a /feedback in game a few weeks ago asking that they name the mount "Striped Senche-Tiger" but I guess it's harder than 'right click> rename' to do something like that.

Oh and to the OP. I like the Size. It's like Tamriel's version of the sports car!
