Enchanting extraction.....pointless with hireling nerf?

IIRC, the main reason for putting skill points in enchanting extraction was to improve the odds of getting Kuta from hirelings. The results from extracting glyphs was never good for me, in fact I rarely used it. Now that hirelings have been nerfed, is there even a reason to have extraction? No one is going to take a chance on extracting a Kuta from a legendary glyph. For that matter, why try extraction on any level glyph other than white. And what is the point of extracting white glyphs...for a chance at getting the runes many people view as garbage, Ta and essence runes. Potency runes are easier and more reliably found from nodes. So, is extraction like an appendix....it's there but does nothing?

SpAEkus✭✭✭✭Most results I have seen is that Hirelings will rarely deliver a KUTA no matter what passives are taken.
My max enchanter with all passives has only received one hireling KUTA since 1.6 with 3/3 hireling and I could even be mistaking that (it has been a blur).

✭✭✭✭✭A while back, Extraction was worthwhile as I would get something on almost every glyph breakdown. Now, since 1.6, most of the glyphs I extract give me nothing, at all, other than inspiration. I mean I do get some stuff, but not like before.
Now I just extract to level enchanting, not to gain raw mats to use on more enchanting. If I get anything I am pleasantly surprised.
I do notice that I do get about 50% of the Jejota's when breaking down Green Glyphs, so maybe that is from the extraction passive.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
