Central Auction house is much needed.

I can see from a roleplay perspective that the guild vendors in major cities is a cool idea.
And its a way to make some guilds feel a Little special.

But it is so annoying and much time consuming trouble to have to travel around and search each and every one.
Especially when you are looking for several items at the same time.
I give up on looking, because I dont have time to check them all, and I know im probably missing some when i try finding gear.

An auction house is the only logical solution to mmo Trading.
Guild vendors is a poor soultion, only slightly better than having nothing else but general chat.

ZOS please - implement auction houses. Let us spend time on questing, pvp and raiding instead of browsing 100 npc guild vendors.

    implement auction houses
Technically, this is already implemented in-the-game but it's also not. The guild-store in-game works like a auction house down to the dot. But the items put up for sale are only able to be bought by fellow guild-mates. So, while I do agree this should be implemented in the game. I don't think they will because this mechanic is already technically implemented in the game.

And there are just as many (if not more) against the suggestion. Not sure of the reasoning behind a new thread other than a lack of searching...

you need to be in a guild to buy anything from the store because you are buying from / selling to member of that guild. You must be unaware that your apart of a guild if that is the case

There are guild kiosks all over tamriel that allow players to buy from guilds regardless of whether they are member or not.

You only need to be in a guild if you want to sell to other players using the guild store/kiosks.

Well, there must be some bug...Because I am in NO guild, and I DO buy from them. I hit search...crap pops up, I look through, and poof buy...I got talked into buying this from a friend about a week ago. He and I have been messing around with trying to build a couple crafter toons. Thats when we realized that we could buy some stuff from these guild stores. We couldn't sell to them, but we can buy.

I say either every X hour or X day a group of merchants visit the hub cities (or some location in each faction) with members of the Mages Guild (to justify instant teleportation of items across distances) as a means for a auction house.

But yeah...guild stores are such a poor implementation as is still.

No. It's fine the way it is. I don't want to see hyper-deflation in ESO like every other MMO before it. What ESO does need is to gate the crafting professions XP further behind writs or quests or whatever in an effort to make crafting a more viable economy. Currently anyone and everyone makes their own stuff so the economy is crap except for raw mats and dropped sets (of which there is like 5 good sets total).

It's fine as is. If you want to sell, join a guild. A central auction house would destroy local economies in-game. Bad idea.

I dont get it..Why does everything have to have some "easy button" on it? Why do you need it all in one place? This is suppose to be an adventure role playing game...The game can't give you an imagination, but geeze, you could TRY and use some. It's almost like people are wanting to read a book, but only want it to be pictures and sound..lol So you have to go to different guild stores and actually LOOK through stuff. I enjoy this because it makes me feel like Im going through a market area, and not just standing in a pit of people using a search engine to buy and sell.....Why even play an fantasy rpg, if you dont want to be part of that fantacy? Do you buy your games and want someone else to play them for you too?
    Sorry....

I like this idea. Small areas outside of towns with 20 - 30 or more guild vendors.
    Or better still.
A large market area inside or outside of all three capital cities.

At the very least it would be nice if we could at least save our filters so I don't have to select three different filters just to find out that merchant doesn't have it and then do it again on a next merchant. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal until you need columbine and have to select the filters for it 12 times.

I can understand. You have the issue of getting too use to the game, and it has become a chore. Like a relationship with a significant other. At first it's new and every day is something new and wonderful. Then, after a few month's it becomes boring and old, and you just want to "go through the motions". I can understand this. BUT..(lol)...Challenge yourself to get more involved. Turn your headphones up, turn down some lights, play some "medieval" tunes in the back ground. And, "immerse" yourself a bit. Don't make the game such a job, and you will have more fun!

A central auction house will kill the economy by driving prices down so much that people will stop bothering to sell stuff, and then once there's nothing g to purchase, someone will dump items at ludicrous prices.

1, people will cry because of dropping prices
2, other people will cry because they cannot find anything for sale any more
3, other people will cry because the only items there are overpriced

    Rinse and repeat.

Your central auction house is absolutely the last thing that this game needs.

I can't tell if you are attempting humor or if you are actually trying to give me advice here. I just don't want to have to select three drop downs several times consecutively. It takes longer to select them than it does to scan through and see that it's not even there.

    No

    Why not?

Debate has been around since launch, and I have on numerous occasions went into great depth to explain why not after having played almost every major title in MMO history. But, Zenimax feels strongly about not having a central AH so there is no point discussing it anyway...not going to happen.
