I got about a quarter of a Champion Point helping a guy out with a delve in Craglorn earlier today. Granted, I was enlightened, but that was just for going through a single delve.

This has nothing to do with my post. Im not talking about getting levels or VR levels. Im talking about Champion Points as a VR14 player. People who are actively leveling Characters have a very distinct advantage over players who are max level. You get a lot of CP leveling up through the zones. I have 5 VR14 Characters, my days of leveling are done until the increase the cap or give us some new content. So for people like me who have been playing this beta for a year, we are limited to what we have to do for XP. and theres VERY LITTLE. If I go do a quest somewhere, I spend 10-15 min doing said quest (estimate) and I get 4000 XP..... so for 1 cp id need to do 100 quests ( there aren't 100 quests in the game left for me) and that would be insane

Because Zos want console players to spent much more time doing existing content, before it become boring for them, and only then Zos will start think about new content. Slower grind - more time for Zos to do nothing.

I play well over an hour a day on average, but I guess that having a job means that I have more time to accrue enlightenment.

Either way, a quarter of a CP while enlightened is still nothing to sneer at, considering the time invested. More importantly, the Champion System isn't meant to be a grind. If you treat it as one, then we'll see you in a few years.

The term "Asian Grinder" is a common definition for MMOs that are based on killing mobs to advance. These games don't have a story line or real quests, you just go out and kill 1000 wolfs and if you did so you gain a new talent or skill point. Such games are very popular in the Asian region, that's why they are called Asian Grind games. Most popular in Korea and Japan.

How did you level VR14 that quick?

You can get from 0 to vr14 in a week just by grinding, as most mobs prior to vr14 still give 455xp. It's when you hit vr14 that it slows down

Phew, for a second there I thought I might be insulted since half my family is "asian" although none of them play video games at all. My dad is really, really, controlling. They are allowed to do math and play musical instruments, and work in the garden. They're not even allowed to have friends over, unless those friends are willing to work in the garden too.

In fact, my dad is not even Asian. But my step mom is, but she hates my dad. A lot. She fantasizes about stabbing him sometimes, and I can't really blame her. The only reason they are still together is because she tricked him into providing enough raw dna material to produce four children somehow. Phew, so glad I dodged that bullet. Anyways, I get your point. You're talking about ArcheAge. Yes, that game is very unimaginative, very Korean, and very grindy and boring. My dad would probably like it though. But he's not even Asian. And my step mom who is Asian thinks video games are only for elderly people with disabilities. My dad is in fact a white dude who grew up in berkeley during the `60's. Okay, well I think his grandpa was from Russia so technically he might be somewhat Asian. Anyways, your story is weird, but mine gets weirder.... We all have some weird story hidden somewhere. That's why we play this game, to escape our weird stories.

Agreed, CP should takes some time. But that's not the main issue. Problem is VR14 characters, they have no way of getting comparable exp besides running DSA in a 4-man group or PvP'ing.

Lower level VR characters gain exp towards CP way way faster, 450-683 each kill if ESO Plus. Loads of nice grind spots, loads of quests to pick from. Than you reach VR14 and exp becomes extinct.

I'm currently playing my VR2 just to get my CP's. I dont think that's "WAI" more a case of circumstances, where there's no new landscape content for capped characters, while they nerf'ed Craglorn to due grind maniacs. Needs looking into badly, you shouldn't be punished because you reached max level or completed quests in the past.
