horse traning

am not very sure, but would it be ok to have horse training account wide? maybe just like how they combine all different horse stats together and use the highest, they could do the same for account.. so one account can train once per 20 hour.. save some time to log on each and every character daily.. might even help reduce some lag..

i know it is not a big deal but when roll a new character it would be so much more convenient to run faster and carry a bit more.. plus it take a good 6 month to fully train a horse.. so it is mostly a time sink instead of a gold sink..

It's already account wide. And it's no longer horse training, as this has all been merged into a player skill line which is account wide.

training riding skills (post 1.6) is a time sink. It's implemented there as such. It's already fine as it is.

Well in that case, let me grab my pitch fork and join in with the angry mob. I was pretty sure they promised this was going to be account wide. Like many promises, it seems we are left empty handed with Zenitharmax.

    ....
The MOUNTS are account wide. Not the stats. They stated (quite early on) that "feeding your horse" would turn into "riding skill" which would be per character.

Yeah, the mount skins are account wide, the riding skill, not. This is as it should be...
    ...but...
...the "one increase per day" is a bit tenious, especially if you make another alt. Or if you can't always play every day, but like so many only have the weekends to play ESO... wish there was some way they'd allow more then one increase per day... maybe let unused days "store up" riding increases like inspiration, so people who can't play as much can still get their riding to a decent value in reasoable time...

I still think this must not be working as intended, because even playing on my other characters it shows that I have already fed my horse/purchased riding skill training which I did... on my other character. So if this is really not account wide, then this is either a bug, or just another unnecessary restriction. Either way, this is a bit confusing, and I wish somebody more experienced than I could clarify this a little better. I'll set my pitchforks aside for now if someone from ZOS is willing to clarify this strange little feature a little better for us as it seems there is quite a bit of confusion surrounding this whole mount changing process.

You are using an addon, I assume, to let you know when it is time to (feed) train riding skill?

Each character you have has to TRAIN their OWN riding skills. These skills are carried by the character, not the mount. So, when you roll a new character and already own a horse, the new character instantly has access to any horse you own, unlike before when each new character had to buy their own horse. Each character still has to train their own skills though, as riding skills are not account wide.

    Hope this helps clarify :)

No thanks. I want to specialize my character skills.
What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.
