✭uhh, you can stealth around and once you aggro, back up and it will reset quickly. i've come across many people of different levels do the same and it was no problem.... This is regarding Backsmith Writ 2 Survey. So I don't understand your frustration0 -

You got enough gold at turn in to cover the materials. These items are extra and were in the Woodworker's case. Not much in this instance but you're still ahead and once in a while (fairly frequently) you'll land something worth big bucks. You can't expect big rewards without the chance for meh rewards too.10 -

This seems to be the case. I just located the "cache" which was about 4 lush voidbloom plants that gave me about 7 raw voidbloom each.
Honestly it would have been faster to just run around craglorn and farm voidbloom without blowing a whole stack of mats and doing a glorified fetch quest.
This quest is just more thinly veiled "content" for people who like PvE content. There is no real gold or material value for actual crafters in this game. Their time would be better spent elsewhere.Edited by Yolokin_Swagonborn on November 4, 2014 4:42AM5 -

Its clearly a gamble as with many daily's in mmo's. Sometimes you get the jackpot, sometimes you don't.At least the spelling is difficult for you.

✭I get that they can't have a jackpot every time and don't expect that but they could have put the reward floor a bit higher. I have gotten a single jade as reward more than once. That's just a ludicrous reward for the materials spent. Also, every repair kit I have gotten is for below 50 so not even usable by my vet characters. Why even include that garbage?
One possible positive in all this is that it should clear out the stacks and stacks of material reserves people have and maybe increase the pathetic value of crafting mats. Currently stacks of crafting mats sell for barely more than what a vendor will give you (400g). I expect in the next week or two stacks of crafting mats will go back up as more and more people continue to do writs and consume all the material reserves.

I believe that map leads to a spot that you have to get to from north of the option with some kind of cultists up a small road. There is a ruin there with a 2 dot mob in the middle surrounded by a bunch of regular ones. It is just down the hill from there
So far, I have done 5 different maps and none of them were in agro range of any mobs. Close, but I could still get them all.1 -

I had one that was a BS survey report and there was a wasp hive almost on top of the nodes. No way to get them without aggro. As a V12 NB it was not easy for me to kill a swarm of V13 wasps that spawn even more once aggro'd. I did manage to kill them after a couple deaths but I don't see why these writs should require you to kill a pack of mobs like that to complete.2 -

I don't know about the writs, but While doing the certification quest on one of my alts for Enchanting I had someone Ninja the Aspect node right in front of me with the quest marker on it so THAT wasn't instanced!

1. You dont HAVE to do these quests to get Nirnhoned stones. They can drop from ANY crafting node in northern Craglorn. Heck I have gotton MORE from non-map ones than from map ones.
2. Those "Nirnhoned" quests, as the OP called them, do not guarantee a drop.
But, yeah.. that one location in particular is horribad. I just expect to die and then run to the node while I am liquid dead. You have to get past a couple packs of 7-10, depending on how many summon pets.Edited by Darlgon on March 21, 2015 10:10PMPower level to CP160 in a week:
