It wasn't from her, it was that Warlock commander.
Ayrenn would have killed him on the spot for consorting with Daedra and trying to commit genocide.

And even if she didn't knew it still makes her bad leader. She's not only political leader but military leader also and she can't control her commanders. Heck she even didn't knew that Veiled Queen is standing next to her
