Future of Vet Ranks?

Hi guys,

Recently returned to the game and have been playing on my alts cause cant really figure out what to do with my main sorc yet:/

Got me thinkin if I should level my alt to vr14, I recall them saying they will remove vet ranks, but I haven't heard anything about that except that it is "complicated". I'm wondering if they are still planning to do this or will just keep VR system.

I think maybe they can remove the vet ranks, but increase level cap to 70. So they don't really have to recode and change the vet rank items so much, just need to rename it from vr2 to lvl52 or something. Make the level xp req scaled back to regular levels. So a normal player will finish their first alliance campaign at lvl48-52. Then they can reach lvl70 probably by the end of the second area of Caldwell silver. And the CP system can still start at lvl50, and can continue to any future content to encourage play and xp gathering.

Thoughts?

Don't have a VR character, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Seriously though, pretty sure they're supposed to convert VR levels to champion points.

I can't see Vet Ranks being removed anytime in the near future, if ever. Way too many thing to change about the game for not much benefit. They can resolve the issues with the Vet Ranks that people have by introducing new content that is not Alliance Bound (Open World if you will). And it does not even need to be Open World, just new content that is not doing the other Alliance's Quests.

As for leveling your character and getting the most bang for your buck right now, that is by taking a VR1 Alt up through Silver and Gold, or grinding. They are increasing the exp for a lot of the grindable activities next week, so you can even level your Alt that way. Or, if the exp works out and the things that are improved are what you want to do, then you can level your higher level character.

Me, I have parked my VR12, and am playing through the quests in Silver and Gold with my VR1 (now a VR4), VR5 and VR6.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
