How do i re-position the loot window so loot details do not cover hidden/stealth?

The UI cannot be configured in the game itself, as @frould said ZOS have outsourced building a decent UI to add-on writers.

Use "R" to loot all the contents at once without needing to hover over the items. But yeah, this is very nagging when you don't want to take everything from the container.

If I do that then I cannot tell if my charecter becomes spotted.

    It's simple, really.

You get LootDrop, turn on autoloot, and never, ever have to look at that stupid confirmation window again.

There's an awfully lot of craploot in containers I don't want to have to keep deleting while I'm walking around.

About the only time I'm autolooting is when I'm in a gamecombat situation, or I'm harvesting nodes.

Use addons. ESO UI is a mess so you need to use addons to fix what Zenimax won't fix.

I have 18 addons including all the best loot management and loot interface addons, none have a feature of re-positioning the window.

    Azurah unlocks interface windows.

Thanks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it works with addons like sous chef that add text and interact able options to existing windows.

Just tested it. Azurah cannot move the loot window. It appears to be the only window not listed.

That's a pity but... yeah, ESO UI. No words to describe it.

I lowered the size of my UI a little bit through the Interface -> UI Scale option and it helps... just have to squint now

gg frames allows you to move the stock UI windows around.

well dang...guess I've never need to move it as I use auto loot and then Loot Drop to see what is being auto looted.
Paid more attention today and since my auto loot for stealing is Not on I see what you mean.

Now I wonder if there's no API access to that window for the addon makers to use. Guess we'll have to ask them.

You can alternatively use an addon like Junkbuster or many others to set up rules and mark stuff as junk. That way if your inventory does get full you are able to go into your junk tab and delete things quickly. Then turn on autoloot.

It would be faster than going through each individual loot window.

I do. This problem is not related to that. The problem is that when I open a loot window I cannot see if I am being revealed, thus no longer hidden and become visible comiting a crime. Pressing E to view, then immediately pressing F to auto loot all stolen items is the only means around the problem, which even with a great junk filter mod extra time is consumed dealing with those items. Poor design, just like so many other things in this game. Addons do resolve many problems the game designers ignore and never resolve, but not enough.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear. With junkbuster (or the like), why not just turn on "autoloot stolen items" and let the addon do the work for you. Then periodically clear out your junk tab.

Then you don't have the pop-up window at all.

Yeah: as others have said, autoloot and filtering to junk or auto-destroying items that you don't want are definitely your friend here. There are junk filters which are trainable to junk only the specific things you do not want, and you can either automatically destroy the filtered items, have a hotkey for trashing your junk, or check them manually and then hit X.

You generally do NOT want to be taking extra time looting anything with the risk of getting found out. Seeing that dialog when you are stealing suggests that you are taking far greater risks than you need.

All that said: this may be what you prefer to do. This may be your playstyle - you may prefer the increased risk, and enjoy the minigame of keeping your eye on that and escaping out before you are caught.

In that light, I'm wondering whether, if the window can't be moved, if there are:
    - any UI addons that move the reticule? (can't find any) or
    - any that put some other notifier that does the same as the reticule, somewhere else (also can't find any).

People should be able to play how they want, and add-ons can provide that sometimes. Sorry I can't find any that do the job here :(
