Crafting Missions - Localization issues?

Hi there,

as a returner to the game, crafting missions are fairly new to me so I went on to do them. The first surprise hit me when I as currently V2 got crafting missions for V9+ as I spent too many skillpoints in that profession. But I'm ok with this in some way. Guess this is what trade- or crafting-guilds are good for in that particular case.

But what I noticed in some quests is, that although the item to craft was successfully created, it does not count towards the quest-progress. For example the enchanting-quest today asked for "starke Glyphe der Magicka" (German client) which translates to strong glyph of magica. So I created this glyph using the following runes: Pora, Makko and Jejota. The tooltip also states that I will gain a "Starke Glyphe der Magicka" which I also received after creating the glyph. But the quest still states I have 0/1.

Also with tailoring, I should turn in "handgesponnene Roben" and similar stuff which should be the first craftable jute-items as no skillpoints were put into the tailoring-craftmanship passive. But none of the robes I'm creating does count towards the quest-progress either - but the robes also do not even contain a "handgesponnen", actually none of the items which I could create (up to V9+ lvl) do contain a "handgesponnen" in their name so I'm a bit at a loss here what to craft exactly.

Any hints are more than welcome

On the glyphs, do not use the Green Jejota, just use Ta.

Similarly, on the robes no not create anything above the requested level. If you added even one cloth too many they will not meet the criteria of the quest and sit in your inventory. Decon them and try again.

Does "handgesponnene" translate to homespun? If so it's asking you to use jute.

At any rate, @Soulshine is right. For glyphs that you create in order to complete writs always use white Ta runes, and never use anything else. It only recognizes white glyphs. For equipment writs always use the level of material requested, always make it the lowest level item within that material's level range, and never improve it.

Ok, the glyph now worked with a Ta rune instead of a Jejota. As I have more Jejota then Ta I used one of those instead, obviously a no-go for now.

On the tailoring-issue, I created the robe at its minimum-level without any enhancements or stuff like that - though the robe does not contain a "handgesponnen" in it. Furthermore, this page here (http://almanach.scharesoft.de/wiki/Online:Ocandur) states that Ocandur sells "handgesponnene" items - but while visiting him, none of the items contain a "handgesponnen" in their names. So I guess there was a renaming going on on German clients. As the quests obviously tracks for the exact name of the item and the "handgesponnen" isn't available in German clients anymore this seems to be a localization issue I guess.

You made a level 1 robe out of jute, and it didn't accept it? If that's the case, then yes it sounds like there's a localization problem based on the language of your client. I'd /bug it.

One thing I have noticed, when I am in a hurry, is it can look like I made something, but really I did not. You have to wait at the crafting station after clicking R to create an item until the game tells you that you have completed the task. This happens with Provisioning more so than anything else. I would go to the fire, select my recipe, then click R and walk away. Only to find out later that the food items were not actually made because I did not wait for the UI to tell me they were made.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Also, make sure you do not use a trait on the item. This will also cause it to fail the writ.
