I want some way to unload my unneeded BoP items!

I've got so many bound items in my account, it's driving me crazy!
  • There are monster heads and shoulders I have multiple times with different traits.
  • There are sets I am still collecting, and it will take ages until these sets are full.
  • There are sets I am saving for future characters.
  • And then there are these damn trophies.

All this stuff is clogging up my inventory, and I don't want to deconstruct it because it is too valuable, and I might use it on another character some time later. But I can't sell it because it's bound on pickup.

There must be some viable solution to this problem. And no, storing it on an alt is not a viable soltuion, imho. Especially if you want to use all of your character slots.
  • BoP could be removed so that I could sell these items now and buy them when I need them. (And replaced with a system where players still need to do the content, either via Need/Greed or BoE + ABE)
  • There could be some kind special wardrobe bank to store these things. (For example a daedric butler only for gear, that can be purchased via the crown store)
  • Or something else?

I really don't mind how this is solved, but it should be addressed in some way.

    Re: Trophies
Some of them can be "USED" and disappear from your inventory and go towards collection achievements.

Is it really that valuable if you or no one else can use it? I just decon them for a chance at the epic improvement mats. I agree though it would be really cool if they gave another outlet besides decon.

You want to keep it, you don't want to decon it, but you want some way to sell it, because it is valuable?

    Your demands sound vague.

You actually asking for more storage space, or asking for BoP to be made BoE so you can just farm, sell, farm, sell?

Vendor, decon or make an alt that you will play in the future but that will temporarily hold your items.

All my alts have one "category" of stuff that they hold when they are not questing, and it just gets put in the bank while they are out and is then picked up again.

If these items could be sold, I would not need to keep them because I could sell them now and buy them again when I need them. Also it just feels wrong to decon an item that would likely go for 200k in an open market.

I am not asking for more storage, I am asking for a different kind of storage in addition to the existing storage.

I am not suggesting to replace BoP with BoE, but with a BoE system that reflects the skill required to obtain the item. The best suggestions I know of are a) a Need before Greed system and b) a BoE system that is combined with an achievement-based equipability system, where you can buy all items but can only wear them if you have gotten an associated achievement.

I could do that, yes. But it's not fun. It's like driving a nail into the wall with a screw driver. It can be done, but it isn't fun. A computer game is supposed to be fun and convenient.

i am not clear on what u want but if you look at mmo's bound items are something of a reward for effort put in, the only thing i would say your on the right lines is like a wardrobe bank, but i would say we should get housing like skyrim and be able to put the clothes on a clothes horses and the bank and back pack puts sets next to each other but as for selling on, no way that put my effort and time as pointless

You need an addon called BankManager. It allows you to create up to 3 profiles per character that will auto-stack, auto-deposit and auto-withdraw items on a very granular per-category basis.

All my characters have a 'quest' and a 'hold' profile, and all I have to do is go to the bank and click the appropriate button (if it's not the default profile that is activated automatically). It takes 2 seconds.

Storage in this game is horrible. Yes, the recent updates made it less horrible but it's still horrible.

I currently have just style mats and enchanter runes in my bank and it's insane how much space the runes alone are taking up (and I have yet to hit one full stack of any one rune).

They need to do what GW2 did and have a special tab specific for crafting mats that don't count towards your "normal" bank space. This tab should have room for 1 single stack of each crafting item. You want to store more than 1 stack then each additional stack go's in your normal bank.

We shouldn't have to spend 30+ minutes a day logging in and out of numerous alts to manage storage. It's a stupid design.

I love the game but the storage just plain blows.

agreed. Yes, it is possible. Yes, I too gave in and made alts for storage. Yes, it is a waste of time and no fun at all. It breaks the immersion and it is just plain stupid.
And I dont even try to hoard set items and the like any more like @spoqster does.

In other games I always liked to go to town from time to time, sell stuff, hoard stuff, whatever.
In ESO I dread the moment when my inventory is full (again) and I have to go back to the bank, use that bank manager addon, log out, log in with AltMule1, bankmanager, log out, log in with AltMule2, bankmanager, log out.. brah..

    No fun. Stupid.
