Any content DLC or Imperial City before console release?

Do we have any info on this? Because it's kind of going to be a long stretch (for me, at least) if there is absolutely no actual content coming until july or something like that.

I've googled around a bit...but I just get all those video and screenshot materials of the DLC zones and the Imperial City that everyone already knows, I guess.

Also...IC is still going to be a free release, right? Because that would just be an utter shame if they decided to put something that is like a core part of the game behind a paywall. (Especially since it was announced way before the B2P stuff)

nope, would not be surprising if we see the imperial city as a DLC, one more way to gouge money out of us.

I don't mind paying for the Imperial City either as a sub or a DLC. I do mind that every excuse under the sun has been given to explain why it has not been released. Current PC players deserve new content but ZOS no longer prioritizes our wants and needs. It's anybody's guess when we will see new content. Well, any guess except "soon."

Zos announced no new content until console launch. After that updates will slow down( even more?) to let the game "breath". So don't expect anything( maybe one DLC) in september and more for christmas sale.

Nope - no news as far as I know. I would prefer solo content as first DLC, but who knows what they will do... Spellcrafting would good to have too :) Will see.

I have zero problem paying for DLC or expansions, my only complaint is that they don't come often enough.

ZOS seems to be stockpiling on "DLCs".
I wouldn't expect to see much until Console Release, perhaps some PvP updates or tweaks.
But expect another, probably the biggest round of hype right after Console launch.
Till the end of the year we'll probably see quite a few DLCs.

The optics of releasing to the console with DLC already available for purchase would not be good.

Nor would it be good optics if they released it just to us and the consoles had to wait. I think from now on we'll see nearly simultaneous release of any new content to all platforms at the same time.

TBH, I don't know much about DLC release etiquette in the console world. How soon after initial release of a game is it OK to sell DLC? Whatever that amount of time is, that's when we'll see the first DLCs released for sale.

That doesn't make much sense. It's common by now to release games to console with DLC already out for it on day 1. Not to mention ESO will already have been out for over a year when it arrives on console...further making it rather acceptable to have DLC/content already available for it.

That said...if ZOS said there won't be any content until after console release...sad.

I'm still waiting on something official from their side...because I really hope that at least IC is still going to be free...as it SHOULD be since it totally strengthens the weak core of what is the Cyrodiil gameplay. Locking players out of it would actually be a situation where everyone loses since it is still a pvp zone..and a crucial one at that.

Making that zone a DLC makes it sound like the alliance with the most paying players will have a heavy advantage...that's just bad for business AND bad for gameplay.

No. No content until post console release. And then that's after the break they will be taking.

Don't expect to see anything new for many months.

No content until console version settled down (=August/September).

    NO DLC before console version.

You just have to wait another half year for something new.

Im totally fine with no content updates until console launch IF it gives ZOS the time and resources to fix the unplayable lag in large scale pvp battles. So that when Imperial City finally comes (probably in the form of a DLC) there is no lag and we can enjoy the game as intended. It would be very frustrating if Imperial City launches and we cant play there because the lag problems havent been solved.

Who is guessing that the console discs already have Imperial City on them and they are just waiting to sell it to the rest at the time of the console release.

Guessing most of the resources will be tied up with console until a month or so after the release, if a track record is anything they will have problems with it.

I can just see it now, "Console players we are sorry you are encountering lag , our engineers have found out that is because the majority of you use wireless controllers, if you would switch to corded the lag issue would resolve itself."

Please wait with the demands for new content until they had enough time to fix the major bugs still existing.
