Poll has been up for a little over 12 hours now @ZOS . You have over 1600$ already and probably more as I'm sure many people would use this for multiple characters. This is just a small subset of the total people who would purchase a race change. You know all the box sales you're gonna get from the new B2P model?? Yeah probably make more off of race change.

Allowing a race change would just overpopulate the game with only a few races. Horrible idea and it doesn't fit the mold of a TES game at all. Say "NO" to race changes, deal with the choices you've made (this coming from a happy Nord btw).
If you don't want to change your race, no one is making you. It doesn't affect you or your game play in any way to let others change theirs. Some people chose races for passives and the devs have changed the passives. It's only a matter of time.
It does affect other people and their game play. This same argument has been made for almost a year. By making it so that the FOTM build is instantly achievable for anyone with cash (in-game or Crown Store) you fundamentally alter the dynamics of grouping in the game. PUG requests will have racial criterion added overnight. You think being unable to group won't affect people's play experience? Some groups already have race/class requirements. This is unlikely to improve if this barrier is removed.
There can easily be a 90,120,180 day cool down on race changes. It can easily be a one time only thing even. There can be many ways to eliminate the issue of people constantly changing to the FOTM race. But if the racial passives aren't changing constantly, there is little need for people to constantly want to do it. Also, if the devs had more balanced races people wouldn't gravitate toward only a few.
But the underlying issue is that a build cannot be optimized for PVE or PVP without considering race. Racial passives were altered in 1.6 - when skills are changed fundamentally in game, they return our skill points to us and allow us to make a new choice should we choose to.
Same exact logic.
