Freeze Bug?

Hello, I've recently been getting a random (or seemingly random) bug that freezes the game and forces me to CTRL+Alt+DEL and restart the game. I've heard another person had this on Massively Overpowered (though I dont have an account there/cant get in touch with them) and they noted they edited a txt file that fixed it for them; has anyone else had this issue or know how to fix it?

I was having this issue quite a bit right after the release of 1.6.

What worked for me was to down-clock my GPU. it was stable on many other Aps., but not ESO.

Even if you have not overclocked your Gpu as I had, try to lower your graphic settings in-game. Keep lowering them until you become stable again.

There does seem to be a bottle neck somewhere in the code that effect peoples systems.

Hope you're no tired of hearing this.....but, make sure your drivers are up-to-date.

Something's Bugging Me

I've seen this problem about six times since Update 6 went live, but don't remember it being a problem before then.

Because it freezes the game so hard that "End Task" is needed from the Task Manager ("close window" doesn't work), there's no /bug or other direct bug reporting option available to the player. That, in turn, means ZOS is probably not aware of how extensive this problem is, so opening tickets is a good thing.

However, because of the nature of the problem, isolating the cause may prove very difficult, so I'm hopeful ZOS will be proactive in tracking this down.

Same problem here. Lower my settings and still happening. It didn't happen until tonite. I been consistently running the game every night since launch. So I am sure its not my PC.

Here....1.6 has introduced many freeze and crash issues for players. They ain't doing anything about it....I've has a ticket open for weeks...

Mine goes to the eternal loading screen in the middle of game play and has to be Alt F4'd.

Have had these freezes back to back to back, and it flared up today.

Same here. Complained about it and got flamed by the fanboy's of this game so figured it was just me. I'm happy and not happy to see that it isn't just my gaming experience that has been getting the freeze.

It seems to happen when I rush into a new area and the game is forced to render a large quantity of things at the same time. Hope that helps.

This has been happening a lot more lately. Reapers march does it a lot. I also fall through Reapers March map. I also load into Reapers march where there are no npc's, or pc's anywhere. Its just an empty wasteland. I hate reapers march now. Really I wish that ZoS would look at making a few other good trade locations on par with it, so it isn't such a nightmare to go to RawlKha.
