Is this still used in raids by sorcs anymore? All the builds I've looked at don't include it.
If it is still used do people still go for suppression field or has it changed to absorption field with 1.6

✭✭Not used it since 1.6 in any raids.... not even put skill points back into it, though I will at some stage.
The morph that gives resource regen feels a bit weak to me... a lot of players will have these regen buffs up from potions or other skills, & for the length of time it lasts it won't regen that much (A potion will give you the same buffs for 5 times longer!!!) .Feels like a waste to me.
I'll go with the morph that reduces damage by 8%.... but when other ulti's give 30% damage reduction this is just weaksauce..... better to kill the enemy quicker with an offensive ulti now, or slot barrier if you need something defensive.GM of the Unholy LegacyPC/EU/EP2 -

✭✭There are still some niche's for it I'm sure.... I haven't found them yet though. (Talking PvE... PvP it will still have a use to get rid of enemy ulti's in confined spaces).
Even where it could have been used to purge an enemy ground effect I found its just a waste now as you can just step out of the enemy ulti in PvE without having to waste your own on it.

Look at shooting star ... the other morph to comet. Drop this on a pack of mobs or players and you're half way to another ulti already!

✭Negate is still useful against the 2nd boss in AA to remove the Nullifier's mechanics. You need a good raid leader who knows to watch for the mechanic and call the negate.
It still helps on the large trash pull leading up to the Warrior in Hell Ra.
That said, while beneficial, it is not required in any raid.1 -
