Update 7 should be entirely dedicated to bug fixing and polishing

This game is one year old already and still it feels like beta. There are still plenty of annoying issues that cause me a lot of rage.

1. Wayshrine teleportation system has an issue. It sometimes teleports you a little bit under the ground or inside of a pedestal so you can't move for 2-10 seconds until it sets you free.
2. When you teleport to some cities and start interacting with crafting stations it starts teleporting you somewhere with loading screens until it teleports you back to the crafting station. And this thing happens really often. Sometimes I get like 4-5 teleports with brief loading screens before I finally can start doing my things back again. Two times I was even teleported to the entrance of the city with disability to see any interactable objects. Had to log out and log it to solve it.
3. My latency in Daggerfall is about 210-220ms which is not acceptable. Especially combined with lag spikes. Sometimes guards freeze in place and then suddenly run with x10 speed right in front of you. Stealing things from NPCs does not feel really responsive sometimes. Here is another example. In Evermore I was trying to get into the building with a bounty on my head right behind the guard's back. Everything would be fine if it did not lag and actually allowed me inside. But no - guard caught me and I had to run away. I managed to get to Outlaw's Refuge door but another lag prevented me from entering it. And I died losing all my stolen stuff. Awesome.
4. Latency in open world with no people around is about 90-100ms. Well, in World of Warcraft I had like 50-60ms. In crowded cities like Stormwind with way more people around I had like 100-120ms. Looks like Blizzard did a better job than you.
5. Continuing with major cities and latency. Textures in Daggerfall are loading way too slow. Sometimes I have like 30 seconds to look at some object before the low quality texture is replaced with the high quality one. Or mounting a horse would not show you the actual horse for some time.
6. Another issue with stealing. While sneaking I get sometimes spotted right after getting hidden and then I get really hidden. There is not reason for being spotted - I stand right behind a single NPC's back. I don't know if it's another latency issue or bug with the system.
7. Interacting with objects is not always a simple task. Sometimes I'm pointing my reticle right in the middle of some object but there is no message that I can interact with it. Then I have to move my reticle around to find a spot where it becomes finally interactable. For example, vases are really hard to deal with. Even doors are not responding if you come too close to them.
8. Looks like you gave up with fixing the LFG tool, right? Who needs it anyways?
9. With update 6 we get another awesome feature. Health indicators over the heads of NPCs or players are almost non-existant. Even though the recent patch notes state that this issue is gone, in fact it even got worse. The NPCs' glow once disappeared for me as well. Good job.

My point is that the game is still of a very low quality. Feels like it intentionally tries to annoy me as much as possible. Thus I suggest you to dedicate an entire update to fixing this game.

as good as it sounds, with no new content, the game won't be able to keep its subs.

    Low Quality..¿?

GO play something else then. No massiveonline game provides me with the game quality this one does. Agree on that they should fix some things wich are annoying and are not about content but the system in general. Even though if you don't go into capital cities or daily dungeon the game runs perfectly and the combat mechanics are amazing, the encounters, everything. And it has been improving since launch. Just give it a year more. I'll be still playing and it'll be even better, and i'm already enjoying this game like none.

So your saying we should have to wait almost a year before we get any game fixes? You do realize that update 7 wont be here til either towards end of year or beginning of next year.

Name one mmo that has been out for a year and has no issues. MMO's that's been out 10 years still have issues.

Don't agree with some of your points but DO agree with the general intent of the post. Make the next major cycle to be exclusively dedicated to get rid of all those pesky not-quite-right things we carried with us for almost a year. Like buggy/non-working weapon traits. Like lag spikes. Like getting stuck in skill animations (werewolf pounce, templar charge, etc.).

The problem is that they are rushing to provide us new content. Look at this update - complete rebalancing of the game, provisioning revamp, justice system, champion system. And wait, there is still no LFG fix? Why did they need to provide us all of this? They could just introduce us with rebalancing and champion system but provide way more bug fixes and polishing. Another point. The official announcement that Update 6 is available on PTS was set on January 29 and only one month later on March 4 in was already announced that Update 6 is live. Personally I think that is very wrong and that's why the game is so bugged. And it's going to always be bugged unless they change their strategy. For example, they've could plan to include the rebalance and champion system only, to put it on PTS two months earlier, drive it through more iterations of testing and fixing and then release it the same date they've done it. And after that, they can divide their developer and QA teams into two major groups - a group which creates new stuff for future updates and a group that supports current version of the game until the next update's code freeze and regression which leads to more iterations of fixing on live server. Right before the code freeze happens (final month of PTS) they merge all fixes into new update's branch and all developers that were fixing the previous update move to this one. And we get quality over quantity.

I disagree. Sure the game still has many more issues to be taken care of, but I disagree on the game feeling like beta. Of course they need to keep fixing, sooner than later, but an entire update for bug fixing would leave many people frowning. Me included.

That's new content. They did not yet say that they wouldn't do any major bug fix updates before console. And it would also tie in with their strategy: every bug they fix on pc/mac, they have it then already done for consoles...

Update 6 was the last major update for the year or til end of the year, ZOS isn't sure yet if update 7 (dlc) is going to get in this year or not.. There will be patches throughout the year to fix things. It has already been said that there will be no new game systems added for awhile, probably not til Dark Brotherhood and Thief guild are added Which wont be til around update 10 or so if im not mistaken.

So between now and update 7 you can expect a lot of fixes to be done.

I agree, while no new content is coming, the next months are the time to sort out the crap.
Loading screens are my number one pet peeve, infinite load screen or long load screens are unacceptable - especiallycially as they can result in screwing your players.
Latest example of this was last night - cleared DSA, went to last room for reward, chance for a master weapon, yay! Load screen....load screen...had to quit out, teammates stayed to keep instance active. Returned to game, chest vanished because apparently disconnecting immediately removes reward for you. As if the load screen wasn't annoying enough, being screwed out of the chance of a weapon - the only reason I ran it in the first place, was nerd rage inducing.

Same old bugs since launch, and they will persist "a little bit" more.

Groups still losing leader when changing zones, can you believe that?
The list is very big, maybe we should vote the top 10 bugs, so they would pay any attention.

Dont you worry, everything important will get fixed next update. Of course it will.
But only if you buy in it when Z sells all those bugfixes as a new "DLC"... or you have a subscription going of course.

I agree about bug fixes, but other than number 8 + 9 I have had no problems with the others. And number 9 is no longer an issue for me.

The horse stopping, starting issue is the most annoying bug for me atm.

I doubt there will be another major release (regardless if it is called Update 7 or 2.1 or something else) until June 9 when the consoles release. We will need to rely on the weekly patches on Mondays for bug fixes.

Well, of course there is no need to wait for an entire big update in order to fix annoying bugs. Just was stressing out that ZOS should really pick a decent amount of developers for this task and focus on doing it for quite some time.

Zenimax seems unaware of this issue.

A game - even with bugs - is playable when there is content.

ESO had its last content in September and that only was "half" of Craglorn - that's been 6 months ago and the next 4 months we won't see content.

ESO could be super amazing but without content it doesn't matter how good it is.

They are constantly fixing bugs. Chances are, there's a team for bug fixing, and a team for developing content. It's not just a big pool of elite code monkeys that can all drop what they are doing, and hone in on bugs. That's like telling all the dishwashers in a restaurant on a busy Saturday night to jump on the line and help the cooks. It's creating way more problems than solving them.

People are not cheap, and demanding jobs don't allow you to 'put feet to the fire' to those who are new to them and their nuances. It's not as easy as hiring some folks and letting them run amok in the code. Again, causing more problems than solving.

The last new zone was the northern third of Craglorn which was released in mid-September 2014. The last new quests were the pledges, writs and the Vetrran City of Ash quest which were released in early November 2014.

Everyone can make up their own minds as to whether or not this pace or schedule is sufficient.

Yup, same here -- OP definitely has other network issues going on. I live in the boonies on the eastern plains of Colorado, and have point-to-point wireless internet, and I experience *nothing* like what the OP describes, and I've been playing nearly every day since beta. Do I have latency spikes? Yup, and they're almost always my connection. Now, when Cyrodiil comes to a halt and everyone in a large fight starts dancing because the lag makes it impossible to kill anyone, that's clearly ZoS.

If loadscreens keep blinking in and out while you're trying to move, or enter a city, or interact with something, and textures constantly load very slow, it's time to start looking at your own hardware/network/ISP because there's more than ZoS hiccups going on.
