New player questions!

Alright so my wife and I played the BETA before launch and decided not to give this game a go because of some multi player issues we were having (Glitches) and lackluster combat. With the new Free to Play model we have decided to give it another go but I have some questions first.

1) I LOVE healing. Can I play with my wife as a full time healer while she kills stuff?(I know I can still dps and will) Tips?
2) Is it possible to level through dungeons?
3) How are the dungeons?
4) Assuming there s a LFG tool, how long are que times?
5) Have they fixed the combat? I remember shooting a bow was lackluster at best, and stealth was a waste of time, have those things improved?
5) Tips on classes/weapons? I love healing and my wife loves pulling an exorbitant amount of bad guys.

Thanks gang! Hopefully we will like it this time around. Game well!

    Hello :)

    Welcome back to the game.

    1) if you love healing and your wife likes to killfest, then an ideal duo is of course DK and Templar. If she rolls DK she can go dps or tank build and pull to her heart's content while you go heals. Templars are excellent healers and very resilent.

    2) leveling in this game is possible by many means but dungeons no longer give the xp they used to (which is something on ZoS plate to fix). The first time you complete a dungeon run in lower levels you do get a good xp reward, and maybe a drop that is useful, though drops are not always there. Quests and dolmens will give you very good xp all the way up to lvl 50. Remember to pick any chests you find along the way and you can add a little xp boost to your leveling and also level the new legerdemain skill line (Justice System), just be cautious you are not seen or you will get a bounty. [Plenty more on Justice System is around on the forums if you are interested in all that] There are repeatables for Undaunted as well which give some nice gear sometimes.

    3) By dungeons I am going to assume you mean 4 man instances, and not the solo or the public delves. All dungeons are for 4 people, until you get to vet levels where there are Trials and Sanctum Ophidia for 12 man, though neither are what would be really traditional raids. There is a good look at first time basic dungeons in lower zones here, but you can also find many other videos on every dungeon in the game if you have the dungeon name, just pop into YouTube you will find plenty. Most mechanics are not particularly difficult and often predictable, since they tend to repeat across different instances once you've done a few. Mostly all boil down to the proverbial stay out of red circles, and block/dodge/roll as needed. Sufficient dps is important in many since some have timed phases, but on the whole they have been considerably nerfed since last year so they are not hard if you go to the instance within a reasonable level of the mobs at hand. The dungeons do scale to level of leader so keep that in mind.

    4) LFG tool is rarely used since it does not often work. It is much easier and faster to just use zone chat to locate a team and get rolling quickly.

    5) Not sure what your issue was with combat so hard to answer this. You will need to test for yourself to see if you think it is better. Generally though, there have been several patches of combat improvement to the game, including adding collision, imprved animations, and so on.

    6) Current FOTM is 2H weapon for dps, and restrostaff is always the main choice for healing since the magicka return synergizes well with heal sustainability, though you will find that is not important while questing as fights are very short.
