If you create an Imperial its your native crafting style so there is no motif in your inventory just like if you create a Bosmer there's no Bosmer motif you can sell...you just know how to craft your native style.

Treat a customer fairly and they will remember you. Treat a customer poorly and they never forget.
Don't think OP meant if he/she is an Imperial. They are talking about Imperial Edition allowing you to "convert" any armor piece to Imperial style.
OP what happens with this is that any item you craft or pick up (well most of them anyways), you can right click on, then click "Convert to Imperial". This will change the style of the armor to Imperial. In the process it also bounds the armor /weapon to your account though, so you can't craft and then sell in that style unless you learn from the Imperial motif in game and craft using the correct racial stone (Nickel).
Hope that makes sense.
It's a pretty useless feature tbh, I have used it a few times early on. And Imperial armor tends to look pretty bad imho, give me Ancient Elven or Primal any day.
Oh and you definitely don't get the racial book to learn or sell. That would be a quick way to pick up some easy gold, given the rarity of it and how much it tends to sell for.
