Probably discussed but it would be a nice change to make the collectibles account-wide. So annoying to hunt down shards/books for all new chars

I will say it again, but for me the best part of rolling an alt is that I do get to hunt all the sky shards, world bosses, delves and dolmens again while figuring out your new character.

Funy that this is exactly why I never play atls in MMOs, been playing just 1 character per MMO since 2002...

This sort of post is very hard to take serious. I have to assume it was made for everyone to have a good laugh.

In all seriousness (just in case this is real) it would make no sense to let alts have access to such huge portions of the game like that.

I got a new job. Asked to start out as a senior-level manager, since that's what I was in my old job. Told him I didn't feel like working my way back to the top ... just too time-consuming.

Having to collect everything again is one of the main reasons my highest alt is only level 10 (that and questing for skill points). I especially don't want to go through the hassle of collecting all the Cyrodiil shards and books again.

It's weird because back in classic Everquest all I played were alts. I was a total altaholic. But that game was easy on alts. You just twinked them and went.

ESO is the most alt-unfriendly MMORPG I've played.

I've got six alts, and one of them is is almost Level 40. Checking all the blocks all over again is half the fun for me.

I'd agree with this. I have kept a notebook since my main hit Davon's Watch. In it I have noted the locations of every skyshard, every lorebook, every crafting writ and every treasure map.... I include co-ordinates, text descriptions of the locations and, in come cases, little sketches. Constructing and maintaining the book has been yet another source of enjoyment for me and referring to it with alts is yet another one. I can:t speak for others, and would not attempt to do so, but I enjoy the current system as it is... especially since there are location add-ons for those who don't want to do what I am doing.

I support account wide skyshards, but not lorebooks. Having each character be required to collect Skyshards - which provide skill points for skills and passives - seems a little pointless. I can understand - and want - lorebooks to be character specific as they're used to gain access to abilities.
