Do you think it would be good for ESO to have daily quests?

This is something I am surprised to see not in the game. I was wondering what others thought about this. I'm just curious how others feel about daily quests.

    I dont know what quests would be required to be daily tho. Usually daily quests give good rewards, they they limit them by setting them as daily, but bosses in ESO dont drop much.

    If this game is going to have any long term playability the addition of daily quests is inevitable. Luckily for me I enjoy that sort of thing anyway, so I voted yes !

    I hate daily quests/instancing and doing the same thing over and over every day. Makes me feel more like I'm doing a minimum wage job than having fun on my leisure time. So this one gets a firm NO vote from me.

    I would prefer them to keep the content fresh and non-repetitive. Because if I want daily grinds there are better options out there on the market right now for that kind of thing. Would be a huge mistake IMHO for this game to go down that road.

    This game has a vast world with lots to do. If people rush through to the end and get bored because of that that's not the fault of the game.

    Right now , you can finish the content for solo player.

    They will add craglorn , but that is for groups.

    For those that dont want to group , reaching vet10 is the actual game end of ESO.

    Which im amazed they launched the game with , usually there would be dailies and other things for people to run after.

    All Cyrodiil quests are daily, Fighter's guild bounty quests are repeatable as many times as you want.
    Stop being afraid of Cyrodiil, its fun.

    I vote YES.

    As long as there aren't any special rewards then people who don't want them could just not do them, same for people who can't do them due to real life stuff. Like me with my work schedule, I wouldn't be able to do half the quests every week anyway. Even if they automatically get added to your journal, they can easily be cancelled in the journal.


    If not specifically daily quests, then unlimited side quests like skyrim had.

    I'm still bagged out from MoP gated dailies (and Shao-Pan can shove theirs up their bear arses). I'd rather do vet dungeons with random groups than face more dailies in the same way I prefer LFR over Timeless Isle.

    Much grey area here...depends on the specifics of the quest...

    Currently, I'm hopeful they will someday remove the daily quest: Asset Reallocation and Inventory Management. (My Warehouse Skill should be a 50 by now)

    hmm, im not really sure.

    i voted no, because its not really something i can see myself doing.

    but maybe if they did it within the storyline it might be good. for example, say someone gives you a job to hunt wolves. then the next day they want you to hunt more wolves. that might work :)

    Well if we pass the Cyrodiil quests I believe that a minor set of dailies quests according to each alliance would be great. But if something like this happens the game must introduce a PVE currency like AP in order to reward players. Also a reputation system for each Guild (more like Bounties of Fighters guild) beside the main story and skill line. For example: You are a Master Wizard B) in Mages Guild, I believe such a title come with responsibilities does it not? .

    Honestly, no, but that's because daily quests remind me of having a second job. Reasons why they shouldn't:
    • They're so cliche, and every MMO has them.
    • They create a lot of repetitive, unnecessary work for players that eventually tire them of the game.
    • They create a depency on them exclusively for success and income, which I hate, because if you get tired and don't want to do 16 daily quests every day of your life, you lose out on lots of money and items.

    This is a dangerous and touchy subject, and personally I think the person that posed the question should be bagged, gagged, and exiled back to WORLD OF WARCRAFT WHERE THEY BELONG!

    But that aside. ESO already have dailies objectives in place. I vote no, because they are already here, and no more need to be added.

    Zen could create said quests and other things , like solo trials... So that everyone had time to burn , not everyone plays at the same speed , it is that simple.

    Stop saying others should enjoy smelling the roses , create 8 alts so that they could enjoy each moment ... Not everyone wants to do that.

    Blaming the player does not help in anything , in the end of the month , zen needs players to pay to keep the game going , making an excuse like "it is the players fault they dont have anything to do" , wont help.

    Those players are not forced to play this game , they will leave when their content "ends" and since it does not repeat , it ends fast , if anything , it is zen who is interested that they keep playing , this is something people need to understand.

    To keep a game like this going , you need content that keeps all kinds of players in the game, each group you toss aside , it is one less group giving zen money.

    But some of those who rush can and will NEVER be happy, because not many game designers can keep up with them; they'd have to be pushing out large content patches every two weeks to satisfy some of them. We had one guy here complaining that there was no new content yet after 6 weeks, comparing to a game that releases content every six MONTHS. That's great, but it's still only twice a year.

    Huh, and I think a lot of complainers forgot or don't realize that the king of MMOs has had no new content since last September, and won't have anything new until at least after this September - after they had promised until their face was blue that we'd never see another ICC/DS again.

    It isn't so much that some people rush. It's that some of the rushers (not all, of course) then turn around and have unreasonable expectations for devs to keep up with them.

    Please explain to me why you think daily quests provide a good time and are enjoyable.
    Is it the challenge?
    Is it the feeling to be done for the day?

    Naw man, what kind of Dunmer would i be if i just spent all my time grinding quests like a lame scrub. This game is about adventure. What makes me love this game is that it isn't a cookie cutter lame scrub grind game. Daily quests encourage lame grindy scrub behavior. This game is doing new things and while i realize we have a group of mmoers that have been luled into a ginding stupor by the lack of freshness in mmos hopefully this game will wake you up. Doing the same *** over and over isn't fun. It never was, keep the WoWesque poop from profaning the name of TESO. FOR THE PACT!

    I am seeing many references to WoW in this thread. Funny how I never mentioned WoW when I asked the question. I can think of other MMOs that this game more resembles then WoW. RIFT is one. In RIFT we have, well… rifts. In ESO we have anchors. WoW has nothing of the sorts, or anything close to it. RIFT also has a setting that closely resembles the “middle ages”. And so does ESO. And by the way… RIFT also has dailies.
    Let’s just hope ESO does better then RIFT.

    A great big NO to daily quests. I play this game for fun. Adding dailies would be a start down the unfun path. Please, don't give in to the dark side.

    I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
    Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

    ESO already done one HELL of a good job with the quests. All with voice, making sense, are intergrated in the world and some even depending on you choices, have an effect on you. Like not being welcome in a town, or very welcome in a town.

    No. Way. There's no real faction/resource grind like other MMOs in ESO, and thank Tu'whucca that's so! Daily PvE quests are often a small step in that direction. It's something that's best left well alone.

    Now repeatable missions, that's something different. I think there is a place for those in ESO.

    daily quests are allready in eso, it is called the "undaunted quests" thier reset every 24 hours.
