My specially dyed armor that coordinates well with my guild tabard looks better than any of the costumes. In short, there is nothing in the Crown Store which I want or could use.
What would I buy in the Crown Store? DLC, none of which is in the store because ZOS refuses to release any of it. Even worse, it will be four or more months before any DLC is for sale if you read Paul Sage's tea leaves.
Overall, the Crown Store is a big bust for me.
I can appreciate that it's not instantly filled with a ridiculous amount of items.
However, some of the items could stand to be more...useful. I don't want to pay 4$ for 10 soul gems that only work on one item, once. The repair kits are going in the right direction, I might actually buy one of them. But the soul gems? There should be more of them, or they should fill -everything-. Same for the potions - more of them!
I'm always out of magicka potions, soul gems and by extension gold. $4 for 10 soul gems - 10 deaths or rezzes, when I think the going price on 100 soul gems was 10k? - is a bit much. They could even give us soul gems, but each gem can be used once for refilling an item, and once to rez before being consumed.
In short - good job for far ZOSYou've done great with the 'pay for convenience, but not to win' thing. Could stand to be a liiiiitle more convenient though.
Also, race changes, appearance changes....C'mon xD

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80YFtnTBApU[/video] I'm disappointed with the fact I can't dye costumes, nor use them simultaneously with guild tabbards.. Please fix that then I will probably dabble into the costumes section
- This is for my own personal taste (and many others). A DLC that allows you to have account wide achievements on all your existing chars and new ones you may create (previous confirmation if the new char will have shared or individual achievements). This way I can level up some other class and be happy that my progress with the new chars goes to the pending ones I may have left (such as PVP or trials achievements regarding healing or dps).
If they implement male and female versions, we should be free to choose the one we prefer. I feel this is important to point out. If they force me into a dress, I'm not buying.wenxue2222b16_ESO wrote: »I like costumes. At least one of them (chef) I have been asking for since before launch.
Never been bothered by mounts and pets. As long as more decent costumes keep coming I'll be ok. Like the sound of the barmaid one (if we ever get it) - would be nice to have a barman to go with it - I think all costumes should be gender neutral (like the chef) or have versions for both genders. The nomad one (if we ever get it) seems to be a very male looking costume and I would like a female version of that.
More dancing friendly costumes would be appreciated too. Male and female bellydance outfits please! Would not look out of place in Alik'r.
I find it laughable that people are comparing a B2P cash shop with F2P cash shops. Of course F2P cash shops like Rift or SWTOR are going to be more extensive, they've been around for years. That's also their entire source of income, and have to accommodate for the large percentage of people buying little or nothing yet still clogging their servers and running up their electric bills. Meanwhile, ESO has the benefit of every single player having to buy a copy of the game.
Also keep in mind that most F2P games have either been built from the ground up on the idea that cash shop revenue is going to support the game, thus a larger amount of development time and resources go into making goodies for the shop, or were previously subscription based games that had to go the F2P route to survive thus had to put quite a bit of time and effort into making goodies for the shop.
So considering the fact that every single player is spending at least $60 to play ESO because there isn't even a demo or trial version, they have enough revenue to support themselves for a while off of that. They'll also get quite a bit of income whenever they release DLCs, so really the shop has no need to be anywhere near as well stocked as an F2P game's shop would be. That said...
Moar costumes plz.
