It's a loyalty reward, dear god. It's a free gift from the development team that doesn't have to happen. If you get it in a month, who cares? It's free. You pay to access the game. It's not charity money that you're giving to ZOS because you want to; you're giving the money to ZOS because you want to play their product. The only thing that they owe us is continued maintenance and content because that is what we're paying for.
1. Gina asked for a link to where it said that the Senche Mounts would be out to players before the Unlimited Launch.
I provided that link. So far Gina has refused to acknowledge the fact that it was stated before launch of unlimited.
2. It was mentioned in the German Forums that the Senche was being delayed.
It was never said in the other forums though. It should have been posted in each language forum. That's just basic respect.
3. I could care less if it was delayed or not. But if it is said that something will be done, given, ect., by a specific time or date, then stick to that date or time.
If they cannot keep the date or time mentioned, then be respectful and let people know in a timely manner. That don't mean 8 or 10 hrs after the due date or time.
People know things get delayed, and have no issue with that as long as you made every attempt to honor that date or time and give notice if there will be a delay.
1. The link that you provided was from over a month ago. Since that time, they changed the policy so that those who didn't quite have enough time would be able to still get the mount by subscribing for the remaining months... which is silly, I think, especially because they've confirmed that different varieties of Senche mounts would be available in the Crown Store.
2. Perhaps it wasn't mentioned in the forums, but it was mentioned during the last couple of ESO Live shows. If you aren't watching them, one of ZOS' key forms of communication, you can't get mad for not being in the know. It would have been nice if it was mentioned in the forums, but with 1.6 and the massive amount of patch notes, it's easy to see how something like that could have been lost in everything.
3. They told people on the ESO Live show that it would be coming out sometime this week on Friday, so it wasn't really last minute. Again, you should watch the show lol.
Regardless, I just don't see the point of nitpicking the specific date when it is a matter of a couple of days that you'll have to wait. I understand the "principle" argument, but, again, you can't use that if you didn't tune into their bi-weekly broadcast communication show lol.
I think the main thing is they keep telling us one thing then doing another. People are fed up. It isnt just the loyalty rewards. They have consistently given out false information they KNEW was false then changed it up later.
I think that people have too much time on their hands lol. It's a big company with a lot of moving parts. Things change. I don't believe that they've been purposefully deceiving the community. If people are that upset about it then they should just leave. That's the nature of game development, in general.
Also, your quote by Gina is a little misleading. Sure, you can play as any race in any alliance by purchasing that through the Crown Store, but you can't purchase the Imperial Race.
Actually you can. Just upgrade the game to Imperial Edition, and you will have one.

You arent trying to pick a fight you are just saying exactly what zenimax is saying to us long term subscribers. They would rather we just leave.
Clearly, that must be why they've been giving us loyalty rewards, and why they've given us the option of staying without having to keep paying a subscription if we don't want to, and if we pay a subscription we get extra stuff that we wouldn't have gotten if they hadn't gone with the TU model.jamesharv2005ub17_ESO wrote: »Honestly, you should leave and not come back. And if you really feel that way, why are you still playing? If you honestly feel that strongly about the way that a company is treating you (I don't agree, by the way, but this is about your perception), why stay?
I take exception to this : this is not a "free gift" done out of the kindness of their hearts, LOL. It was a dangled carrot to keep us subscribing through the F2P transition, which many of us would not have done otherwise. In effect, it is the reward for spending the 15 dollars for a partial month prior to unlimited launch.
It cost us 15.00.
As soon as i know I'm getting the mount (they did not answer that question before they deleted my post for slanderous rumor-mongering) I am cancelling my subscription.
I, as well as many, would have skipped out on the privilege of playing the game for 2 or 3 weeks prior to unlimited launch if that were not the case.
mounts are content, BTW, and after a year we've finally gotten the first of that particular content - at F2P launch.
Ok, first of all it's a free gift, they don't owe us anything. It is indeed a loyalty reward, if you played the game and stayed with it and played it for the whole 11 months, you wouldn't need to subscribe for any additional time just to qualify for this mount. If you subscribed for additional months to the game via the site or bought game time cards to fill in the cap, then that was your choice.
So calling it "not a free gift" is quite a lot of bull****.
I usually find having to resort to playing semantic games means someone is really struggling to find a valid argument for something.pvpaddict42 wrote: »

It's actually not a free gift. If it was, then there wouldn't be stipulations tied to it regarding real money (ie subscribing). Rather, it is an incentive. The whole loyalty reward program (as with all loyalty reward programs everywhere) is a marketing ploy to entice you to continue spending your money with them. If you choose to believe that is a free gift, that's fine, but considering you have to actually pay money to get it, then no, it's not a free gift.

Well just break it down to it's most basic concepts. If you had not paid any money, would ZOS have given you the mount. The answer is no, ie, not free.

That's about as solid as an argument gets.

Correct that with that's what YOU think that Zenimax is saying to YOU. I've spent more than that number that you keep throwing around. And I don't feel that they value me any less than anyone else, and I definitely never saw the message that they'd rather we just leave. I understand that in many cases arguments are made from a personal perspective- but really, when made, if that is so, then that should be stated clearly rather than lumping in everyone into your own world and interpretation.

Now I would like to ask you, what were you paying ZOS for? I for one have paid ZOS to be able to play the game. So in other words the product that I have paid was access to the game and that's what I have been paying for and I was not expecting anything else.
So now they tell me I am getting something that I was not paying for when paying for their product, so it is a free gift.
If you were only paying ZOS to get the mount by buying their other service (aka game-time) then your argument is valid. But since I did not pay anything to get this gift on top of the service I was paying for, it is indeed a free gift.
