If they do allow it, given current prices on fluff, I think people are going to be in for a big wake up call with the price. I certainly hope to be wrong (very wrong) about that... but I think it is inevitable given what they are already doing with mere fluff items alone.
When a horse costs 2500 crowns and you receive 1500 crowns for each month you subscribe going forward, DLC prices are going to be astronomical. It's no wonder they have not released any of it. If they starve of us new content long enough, we'll pay any exorbitant price they charge and they know this.
Pretty likely. And you can be there will be another massive QQ fest on the forums about the issue when/IF that happens. I just don't see how to get around it though, since they are obviously now focused on monetizing everything, most especially the content from this point forward... whatever it turns out to be.

I could be wrong, but going by the fact they're courting the console market I would be surprised if the DLC costs much more than 30, but I'm expecting it more to fall into the range of $15-$20 per DLC as that is the bog standard DLC price on consoles. The cosmetic items are going to be a bit more expensive when they're specialty or super unique looking mounts like the Nightmare Courser as people will pay that. I do think their prices are a bit high compared to other cosmetics offered in other MMO-esque games. At the rate a current zone can be implemented I don't think I would ever pay more than $30 for it, and even at that value I won't be buying until I've seen some videos or reviews of the content.
The lore breaking fire steed thing.

I like the idea of having civilian (chef, blacksmith, etc) costumes.
That's something I always felt the game needed.
Knight's pack is terrible. Low level Breton armor...no one is going to buy this.
The other two packs are pretty mediocre as well.
If you're going to have armor costumes, it should make the player look and feel bad***.

Let's also not forget costumes are not dyeable and are one-piece items so you can't even mix and match. I know I have no real desire to wear the same exact "jester" costume as the other 1000 people who buy it.

RIFT / SWToR has good options for mix and match - ESO should adapt to these type of cosmetic systems.
It would bring in more money from the item shop when they add a ton of cosmetics.
I'm going to buy it.golfer.dub17_ESO wrote: »Knight's pack is terrible. Low level Breton armor...no one is going to buy this.

It's the costume pack that I'm most seriously considering getting. That's purely for the "elite" armour costume, though, as I like that one quite a bit.I'm going to buy it.golfer.dub17_ESO wrote: »Knight's pack is terrible. Low level Breton armor...no one is going to buy this.I like sensible armor.
It's nice to wear when you're thieving, though, because if the guards catch you and you're not interested in paying off your bounty you don't really want to be wearing your armour anyway... I mean, if you don't run fast you're going to get killed by them and your armour will degrade. By wearing actual clothes in town, you don't have to worry about this.I like all the Justice System stuff, but it takes armor slots.
