1.6 changed the game a lot. All of the top theorycrafted builds, both magicka and stamina, now use PVP gear. Prices for these items have skyrocketed. Do you have a bunch of unused AP and need some quick cash? Here's what you can get!
If you are a gambler, try your luck at the PVP gear boxes. VR14 pieces of the Archmage set, the Morag Tong set, and the Shadow Walker set are selling for 50k - 100k gold each.
If you don't want to gamble, buy some gear from the elite vendor (250k AP a piece) and sell it on the market. The Ravaging set is 80k gold per piece. The Light of Cyrodiil rings are going for 50-80k gold as well.
The current conversion rate is 3-4 AP per 1 gold. This can be a windfall for some of the hardcore PVPers out there who get millions of AP per month. I don't think ZOS anticipated this change in player gear, but it's nice to see that PVP can actually bring in an income now.

✭Ya. That's why I bought my 5 Ravager, 2 Tong, 2 Shadow, 2 Dreugh Kingslayer a month and a half ago. Dropping softcaps and gutting crit percentages made it necessary.

While I welcome the change & like having strong PvP gear (though, I think it should be BoP; or atleast another, much more difficult to get & better tier should be implemented for that purpose), I wish this didn't come at the expense of those people who spent countless hours doing SO & other trials, only to get nothing out of them in the end.
Granted, 3 pieces of Vicious is still nice. Rest is garbage (wasn't good before either though).3 -

✭✭Even though I'm a PVE'r, I'm glad PVP has worthwhile sets now. It hurts my wallet but makes me overall very happy. For a long time PVE sets have dominated the market (warlock, aether, BOE trials gear for that one week, martial knowledge, ect ect ect) and running PVE has been worlds more profitable than PVP bc of this. PVP has been a huge drain on time and pots/food and with little reward to offset the costs.
A lot of us in PVE are sitting on millions of gold while you guys sit on millions of AP. Seems like a strategic swap. And it's only fair to share some of that wealth with the other half of the gaming community. A little equalizing makes for happy gamers on both sides of the spectrum. Yall are killin me with these 100k morag tong pieces doe.7
