I was able to jump into the game last night for a little while, and I decided to play a low level alt. I have to say, the ESO community is fantastic. Everywhere I looked, veteran players were running around and helping all of the ESO babies (and I mean that in a completely unoffensive way). The chat window was full of questions and answers, lore discussions, and encouragement. It was absolutely fantastic, and made me so proud to be a part of this community. ZOS can put out a fun game, but it is this community that makes this game special and great.

I agree. It's the community that can make or break a game for some people. Last night was tons of fun in Rawl'kah with everyone running around in costumes and showing off their new mounts and pets. It had the air of a bunch of friends at a party. I wish it could stay like that.

Yeah, I've met a tonne of new people in Auridon today whilst riding about and answering random questions. Chat is really active too and so far none of the bad kind! So all good, onwards and upwards hopefully :)

Ah well people are going to need a bit of time to hit that point. EU wise I'm pretty happy - theres activity and its currently working hours (13:29) so hopefully it picks up for you soone enough :)

I actually went back with a new character specifically to see how many people shipped in and to jump amongst them. Its nice to see so many positive people :D

The last couple of months I've seen a pretty steady increase in players, and I've had no trouble getting people together for group content.

But, I was specifically speaking of what I saw last night: commending the veteran players who went out of their way to help out the new players. I can't comment on your experience, simply because I did not share it.

I hopped in today for a short while, will return in the evening, but given the time (1PM local here) there was a TON of people in Auridon. Chat buzzing with questions, guild recruitment, ets.

It's a relaunch of ESO. Certainly feels that way. Can't wait to see prime time.

Now I'm just watching the forum buzz while working.

That's exactly what I did. The starting zones were crazy last night. Give em a couple of weeks to catch up, and hopefully we'll see more activity in later zones!

Despite bugs and problems, everyone was incredibly positive and upbeat last night. People were so excited about the game and the direction it is headed in. It was refreshing to see that, especially as someone who really enjoys this game and the people that I've met through ESO.

Most are pretty good about offering help/answers so long as the quest is reasonable, respectful, and the individual has at least made some kind of effort to find the answer on their own first.
Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

IRL'ing for a while for assorted reasons, in forum, and in game.

I'm not sure what Endurance is talking about either. NA servers across all alliances seem to be packed with people helping other's and many people goofing off, having fun in chat, questions/answers, etc.... similar to what you are describing in EU.

Right now most of us are going to work or at work in NA, so it may not be super packed right now because it's morning in North America and also a weekday... but last night it was and I'm sure tonight it will be.

Same for me, and there are plenty more of us out there - spoken to a tonne of them already in game.

It really helped for the new players to have the veterans around today, people had their questions answered in seconds and left very happy being able to do what they wanted straight away.

So thanks to all the vets out there. Especially all of you on EU that spent hours answering people this morning. Impressive community spirit, was sorely needed in this game.

At last we have a lively zone chat :)

I think hes just yet to catch the wave in that Zone. It'll hit him soon enough lol.

If you're questing in VR-labeled areas, odds are you won't find too many people for multiple reasons; one of which is that some people prefer to grind for levels to reach level VR14 at this point (so they're all in Craglorn) instead of questing.

I've been doing a little of this lately, and over the next week or so I plan on making a point of spending a bunch of time in low-level zones (specifically the starter islands and the first full zones for the alliances) to try to give people pointers and advice. It's always nice to see people helping people.

Exactly! Not only does it improve your own experience in game, but new people are more likely to stick around. I think a vast majority of people are looking for positive experiences and interactions.

A lot of the higher zones will have very few people in them. Hopefully with the influx of new players they will help bring life to those areas soon!
