I thought that you should be able to play any content until your end of subscription,,,
Pedantically you don't cancel your subscription, you cancel its RENEWAL so you do indeed get access to what you've already paid for until the payment expires.sput4ueb17_ESO wrote: »So it is better to cancel the subscription ?

As @nerevarine1138 said, it's entirely down to you whether you feel the 'rental' model (which is what a subscription is) suits you more than buying just the content which you require.Still confused about all this BS. If I pay for the month then play through the DLC then allow my sub to lapse I lose that DLC even though I played through it so to me I just paid for it. Yet they say it will be taken from me. How come I feel this isn't right, it is like my 15 a month doesn't mean shoot!

You get to keep any gear/items/whatever you get from the DLC you lose access to but your rent ended, you lose the key to the door.
Meh, wife will likely keep us subscribed just for the XP boost and access to any new DLC. Guess she figures $30 a month won't break us.

That is exactly the point, they want money coming in every month. So if a DLC comes out and it takes us 2 3 or 4 months to get thru it and we paid 15 a month to play it why isn't it ours forever, we PAID for it when we completed it.
EXACTLY what do you not understand? Because what i understand is when a person buys the DLC can play it or not it is theirs. Why isn't it ours once we play and pay through it?
Remember you get $15 worth of crowns every month from subbing. You can buy the DLC with crowns? I'm pretty sure I read this somewhere. So yeah you can keep it if you subbed for a bit.
Your sub fee never is worthless, it's just converted into credit.
I honestly think this model is fantastic.

You're thinking only as a continuous subscriber who well be around as each dlc comes out. 3 dlc down the road under what you suggest, a new player could sub and buy all the dlc for a fraction of the price.
If you are looking for the best deal, per crown it goes 5500 pack, 3000 pack, 180 day sub, 90 day sub, 30 day sub/1500 pack, 750 pack. Going forward the value of a sub will only be for the 10% bonuses if you want them, or to test drive new content. 5500 is an odd number, I suspect that's what new content will be priced at.
I guess you guys miss the point. If i just paid a sub DLC hits, I pay to play it and run it through to end. WHY should I have to pay twice on it and give them 3000 or more crowns to pay for it. Think in accounting they call that double billing!

Exactly, I played through it then I unsub wait till next DLC sub play through it to END! So you still think I didn't pay for it only rented it? Wow my money isn't as good as yours just buying crowns.
