Crowns being charged on both servers?

So, I logged into ESO today, ready to check out the Crown Store and bought myself some shiny new pets and mounts. This was on the NA server.

Now, I play on both servers, mostly playing on the EU server of late because my lower level characters are there.

After spending as much as I possibly could on the NA server (leaving me with 200 crowns), I logged into the EU server to find... I have 200 crowns. And nothing I bought on the NA server showed up in my collections.

I was under the impression that the two servers are completely separate, so why do I only have 200 crowns on EU?

From a ZOS post earlier, it sounded like crowns are shared between servers but the items you buy aren't.

Well, damn. I wish I knew that earlier. I would've budgeted for a guar mount and blacksmith costume on the EU server.

    Goddamnit.

    Welp. Thanks for that.

The one time they make anything shared...

Looks like I'm probably sticking with NA for a while.

It would've been nice if the items were shared across both servers, at least. I guess it's my own fault, but I didn't think I'd need to budget because literally everything else is separate.

Theoretically it would mean that people would have to buy the Imperial Edition, Adventurer Pack and/or the DLCs twice, if they played both servers. (I have both the former, and will continue to sub for the latter, so I guess it doesn't apply to me but eh.)

I can't be the only one who uses both servers. I only do because I have waaaay too many characters >_>

Idk, I guess this is the only thing I've been genuinely disappointed with so far. Oh well.

Wow... That is -seriously- messed up, glad I ultimately just stick to NA Megaserver. ^^; And I still think item prices are outrageous. There's a single item (Mount) that costs 2,500 Crowns. That right there is nearly two months worth of Crowns by itself...

I have friends who play on one server, and friends who play on the other, which is the main reason I use both servers (my ridiculous number of characters aside).

Then there was the fact they originally decided that console players would be moved to the server of their respective region, so I thought it would be a good idea for me to level some of my more or less untouched lowbie EU characters ready for the transition.

And yeah, I agree, the items are pretty pricey. That Nightmare mount (2500) looks great, but I wanted other things for other characters before I considered getting that (and ultimately didn't because I ran out of crowns >_>;)

I would still contact support and double check or see if there is anything they can do for you.

I wasn't sure if I should, but I just contacted support regarding this. Hopefully they'll get back to me soon.

(Thanks for the encouragement, by the way >_>;)

(I also hate contacting support because I can never remember my security question <_<)

They should at least be able to move your items to the EU server. I suspect they'll be getting quite a lot requests like yours. All could have been avoided if only people read the FAQ...

Crowns are account wide. Just like imperial. If you had bought Imperial in the past, it would also have worked on both servers, right?

I got a response from support; it's a long one:
    Greetings,

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Support Team!

We understand that with the launch of Tamriel Unlimited that there are some issues regarding Crowns and the Crown Store. In order to help resolve these issues, we have put together a list of the most commonly asked questions:

How many complimentary Crowns should I have received?
I don’t have my Crowns yet. What should I do?
Why can’t I see the crowns I just bought in game?
I just bought something from the Crown Store and I don’t see it. What should I do?
When I click on “Buy Crowns” in the Crown Store, nothing happens. What do I do?
I have a Steam copy of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. Why can’t I buy Crown Packs in The Elder Scrolls Online PC/Mac Store?
Why can’t I buy more than one Crown Pack of the same denomination through Steam?

Please find the answers to these questions below. If you do not see your issue answered here, please respond back to this e-mail with more details about your specific problem so that we can assist you further.

How many complimentary Crowns should I have received?

    1) As a new player: New players will be given a one-time gift of 500 crowns for buying the game and creating a game account.

    2) As a previous subscriber: If a player was an active subscriber when The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited launched, they would have received 500 crowns for having a game account, plus 100 crowns for each 30-day period they had been an active subscriber. In addition, they would have been automatically enrolled in ESO Plus for the remainder of their subscription period. They would have received the full benefits of membership, and 1500 crowns for each 30-day period remaining on their subscription. For example, if a player had 30 days or less remaining, they would have received 1500 crowns. If they had between 30 and 60 days remaining, they would have received 3000 crowns. 60 to 90 days, 4500 crowns.

    3) As a returning player: If a player previously played The Elder Scrolls Online, but they are no longer a subscriber, they would have received 500 crowns when they logged in for having a game account, plus 100 crowns for each 30-day period they were a subscriber.

I don’t have my Crowns yet. What should I do?

Due to the size of the initial distribution of crowns worldwide, delays of up to four days could occur for some of our customers.

If players have not received what they believe to be their applicable allotment of crowns after March 20, 2015, they may contact Customer Support.

Why can’t I see the crowns I just bought in game?

When buying crown packs, players should ensure that they have logged out to the character select screen before logging back in and accessing the Crown Store. If they remain in game while purchasing crowns from The Elder Scrolls Online PC/Mac Store, they will not be made available for use until the player has exited and reconnected.

If a player believes that they did not receive their correct allotment of crowns, they should contact Customer Support.

I just bought something from the Crown Store and I don’t see it. What should I do?

During the launch of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited, there might be delays in delivery for Crown Store items.

Due to this initial busy period, please allow up to four days for the items to be attributed to accounts before contacting Customer Support.

If players have not received their items after March 20, 2015, they may contact Customer Support.

When I click on “Buy Crowns” in the Crown Store, nothing happens. What do I do?

This is a known issue. Mac players who attempt to use the "Buy Crowns" button from within the Crown Store will not have The Elder Scrolls Online PC/Mac Store open in a new browser window.

Mac players can still buy crowns from The Elder Scrolls Online PC/Mac Store by going to https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/store manually outside of the game. We hope to resolve this issue in a future update.

Please note that newly purchased crowns are not attributed to an account until the player has logged out to the character select screen and logged back in.

I have a Steam copy of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. Why can’t I buy Crown Packs in The Elder Scrolls Online PC/Mac Store?

Players who purchased their copy of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on Steam can purchase Crown Packs from the Steam store. Once they have purchased the pack, players will receive a code to be redeemed on their ESO:TU accounts. To do so, they should log into their account at https://account.elderscrollsonline.com and click on Redeem Code underneath the Account Summary.

IMPORTANT: Players can only purchase one of each kind of Crown Pack from the Steam store once every two weeks.

For example, if players purchase the Crown Pack that comes with 5,500 crowns, they WOULD NOT be able to buy any more Crown Packs that contain 5,500 crowns for two weeks. However, they WOULD still be able to purchase a Crown Pack that contains 3,000 crowns, a Crown Pack that contains 1,500 crowns, and a Crown Pack that contains 750 crowns.

Players with a Steam copy of the game can still purchase an ESO Plus membership from The Elder Scrolls Online PC/Mac Store.

Why can’t I buy more than one Crown Pack of the same denomination through Steam?

As we work to fully integrate Steam Wallet in the coming weeks, players are able to purchase only one version of the same Crown Pack denomination every two weeks. Players can, however, purchase more than one Crown Pack within the same two-week window as long as they are of different denominations (i.e. players can purchase a 5500 pack and a 750 pack, but would be unable to purchase two 5500 packs).

This ongoing integration will not affect players' ability to use the in-game Crown Store. All players will still receive their allotment of crowns based on how many days they were previously subscribed, and current players will receive the crown benefits of ESO Plus.

    Warm Regards,
The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Team

While this answers many questions (as one would imagine, considering it's basically a straight cut and paste from the FAQ), it doesn't look like they actually read my query, and therefore doesn't answer mine.

    Like, at all.

Remember, this will also include dlc. For example, you buy Imperial City on NA, you'll need to buy it again for EU.

    It's called double-dipping. Enjoy.
I've been muted since November 2017 because of the whiny crybabies on this forum and the liberal ZOS employees coddling them.
