Why doesn't the sun set on Stros M'Kai?

Created an alt and started my questing in Stros M'Kai and after a few hours of play I realized the sun hadn't set, not even once and was froze
at what looks like 12 o'clock high. Is the day/night cycle tied to a quest for some reason or is this a glitch?

    I think bug. If I recall correctly I played many night times on Stros. I'll look up my screens when I come home. Im sure I have some nighttime Stros.

    I used magic to do that, and I cannot for the life of me remember why. my favorite place in the entire game, it what made me fall in love with ESO during beta.

    Just to be clear, it must be a bug..But I do remember the nights there are very short..

    The day/night cycles should definitely be occurring on Stros M'Kai. They are the same duration everywhere in the game. If not, then perhaps your client is borked.

    Yep. Logged then logged back in and it fixed it.

    What's funny is I was trying to word the post title to intentionally avoid making it sound
