Has any DK tested the possibles combinations of skills to guard and reflect all projectile types?
How does it work in PvP? Do you feel the skill the imbalanced?
How is it combined with dodge-equip, etc.
I would like to see one try. Cant reflect AOEs, right? Or jesus beam and now only reflect 4 projectiles and to do this while draining stamina even if not getting hit. Not sure this would be a great way to go.
There maybe lots of jesus beams but I think the number of 1/2 button spamming sorcerers and Snipes is much higher than the number of templars spamming jesus beams.
I thought a DK could comment since GUARD in other games was a core-function of Tanks and good PvP tanks did a gread "guard job". Even if guard in this game does not take all the damage done to one target, making it an AE and reflecting everything (if it works) is still very interesting. I don't say: OP
Tried having 2-3 dk's in a 16 man grp run this already in the 1-2 days after 1.6 came out. Eventually settled on unless you've got 2-3x as many dk's running it, it is way too much of a stam sink and ends up gimping the dk's who end up outa stam who would often end up getting left behind and dying (aka to the inability to block/roll/breakCC/use defensive stam abilities).

I've tried it in a tanky templar build (but was my first setup for 1.6 so it sucked ) and with 5 HA and only defensive stance as reflect it's a no go. I can see some use for it in smaller grp PvP - where u pop it to bring back a DPSing sorc and can manage incoming projectiles, maybe put an eclipse on a target etc. But for big fights, we need more stam regen and should probably be a melee (stam) DK or 3 that runs it along side a tank.
But I love the mechanic and was the first new alliance skill I tried. Im sure it can be useful, but easiest with 4-6 man tight grp. If a tank or tanky melee can spare a slot
yes it drains your stam, a lot! but you also force the enemy ranged dps to 'waste' their resources, since the guy running it probably wasnt his intended target, and a DK can suck in meteors and reflect them, so the DPS with now low HP wont get hit.
edit:
atm it's the only PvP 'taunt' - besides bunny hopping ^^

The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited supports hundreds of players on screen at once in an open world fight for control of Cyrodiil. Get ready for the most intense online PvP experience ever created, with The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.
It is a big stamina sink but still good for a support build. No one in this game ever, sadly, runs a support class. Most people for some reason believe 24 DpS can somehow beat a more dynamic group.
This would be great for stacking with evasion skill, Histbark Set, or Master Armorer set for an easy way to negate damage. The best build set up would just be to push health & stamina as high as possible to withstand as much damage as possible. Seems like this would be a great way to quickly your ultimate up, which most times is much more useful than button smashing tornado. Picking the Stalwart morph to reduce the stamina cost per projectile would be best, allowing you to keep the skill up longer.
While running this skill it would be idle to let it drain out, then pop a stamina potion to ensure you never are completely empty of stamina.
Blocking with a shield would work best.
One hand and shield - Skill - Defensive stance | Passives - Fortress, Sword and Board, Deflective Bolts
(all help reduce blocking cost and damage received)
Heavy Armor - Passive - Bracing (Reduces blocking cost by 20%)
Champion Points - The Steed - Blocking Expertise (Reduces blocking cost as well)
Even at that you'll probably be drained of stamina in under 10 seconds in a big battle. But eliminating a 10k snipe off of your healer can be much more useful than button smashing DpS. I'd say a stamina templar using Repentance could utilize this skill the best. Toggle skill, begin blocking, when at half stamina start spamming your repentance. Once enemies start dropping you should be able to keep guard up till the other group as been deposed of.
