I have italicized what I am quoting since you apparently cannot quote something from a closed thread. So please forgive me if it looks a little odd. I know that everyone can already see this, but my aim is to get this thread locked so that I know ZoS saw it.

Hello everyone,
Our Cyrodiil performance is something we are very aware of. Performance drags when there are numerous players in the same place at the same time. This is why performance in Cyrodiil is fine for much of the day, but gets worse during more popular times. We are currently investigating ways in which we can reduce the spike of performance loss. We added in some features for Update 6 which we hoped would help, but ultimately did not. This is not a situation where we can just add more hardware. Player population in a given area hurts the performance and the more people that are in one area, the more performance is going to be hurt.
Actively, we are looking at changing the behavior of the players to remove incentives for large groups to stay in the same area. We want to do this by providing larger incentives for Alliances to split up and take on multiple-challenges in Cyrodiil. We’ll continue to work on this. We are also asked by players if there is anything they can do to help. In this situation, the best thing you can do is split off to different objectives when you notice performance going down. Cyrodiil is a big place with lots of different things to do. And thank you for asking.
Sorry Paul but i would accept this if AND ONLY IF the lag had been a consistent anomaly from 1.5 to 1.6. However, the fact of the matter is that there was a DECREASE in performance from 1.5 to 1.6. Something on ZoS' end has broken it. WE WOULD JUST TAKE THE PERFORMANCE OF 1.5 BACK. You guys broke something. And while we would love a clean fix to the lag and its complete elimination, we are not an unreasonable player base. Simply having the Lag be non-game breaking (or close to 1.5 levels) would suffice for now until a better solution has been developed by your team.
This is not on us. Please put all of your resources into this and make it your top priority in ESO for the next few weeks. Your player base needs this. Thx -
A reasonable request, if you ask me. Unfortunately
@Sphinx2318 was very rudely cut off by this response.
As you have seen, we do have an official discussion thread for this topic over here. We encourage you to join the discussion there, but please keep in mind that we do not allow demands on the forums. Thank you for your understanding.
If we are not allowed to make "demands", as you put it, on the forums, where are we allowed to make them? The player base has every right to make requests, suggestions, or as
@ZOS_TristanK would like to put it, "demands", or have you forgotten who pays your bills? Maybe you should keep in mind that if this game fails because you cannot meet the players' expectations, I can't imagine that ZeniMax Media Inc. would be very happy with that, and I wouldn't be surprised if you don't get another chance to even promise an MMO with what could've been amazing PvP. Then again, I'm not the upper management for your company, so I can't speak for them.
