ZoS does not allow "demands" on the forums

I have italicized what I am quoting since you apparently cannot quote something from a closed thread. So please forgive me if it looks a little odd. I know that everyone can already see this, but my aim is to get this thread locked so that I know ZoS saw it.

Hello everyone,

Our Cyrodiil performance is something we are very aware of. Performance drags when there are numerous players in the same place at the same time. This is why performance in Cyrodiil is fine for much of the day, but gets worse during more popular times. We are currently investigating ways in which we can reduce the spike of performance loss. We added in some features for Update 6 which we hoped would help, but ultimately did not. This is not a situation where we can just add more hardware. Player population in a given area hurts the performance and the more people that are in one area, the more performance is going to be hurt.

Actively, we are looking at changing the behavior of the players to remove incentives for large groups to stay in the same area. We want to do this by providing larger incentives for Alliances to split up and take on multiple-challenges in Cyrodiil. We’ll continue to work on this. We are also asked by players if there is anything they can do to help. In this situation, the best thing you can do is split off to different objectives when you notice performance going down. Cyrodiil is a big place with lots of different things to do. And thank you for asking.

Sorry Paul but i would accept this if AND ONLY IF the lag had been a consistent anomaly from 1.5 to 1.6. However, the fact of the matter is that there was a DECREASE in performance from 1.5 to 1.6. Something on ZoS' end has broken it. WE WOULD JUST TAKE THE PERFORMANCE OF 1.5 BACK. You guys broke something. And while we would love a clean fix to the lag and its complete elimination, we are not an unreasonable player base. Simply having the Lag be non-game breaking (or close to 1.5 levels) would suffice for now until a better solution has been developed by your team.

This is not on us. Please put all of your resources into this and make it your top priority in ESO for the next few weeks. Your player base needs this. Thx -

A reasonable request, if you ask me. Unfortunately @Sphinx2318 was very rudely cut off by this response.

As you have seen, we do have an official discussion thread for this topic over here. We encourage you to join the discussion there, but please keep in mind that we do not allow demands on the forums. Thank you for your understanding.

If we are not allowed to make "demands", as you put it, on the forums, where are we allowed to make them? The player base has every right to make requests, suggestions, or as @ZOS_TristanK would like to put it, "demands", or have you forgotten who pays your bills? Maybe you should keep in mind that if this game fails because you cannot meet the players' expectations, I can't imagine that ZeniMax Media Inc. would be very happy with that, and I wouldn't be surprised if you don't get another chance to even promise an MMO with what could've been amazing PvP. Then again, I'm not the upper management for your company, so I can't speak for them.

Minimizing the risk of being re-suspended.... i would like to see an improvement in the PR practices... this is if it were my decision to make (which its not) i would never want a customer to feel that they could not express an opinion or that it holds no merit. I think of it were my decision i would allow all feedback... negative or not... constructive or not.... after all deleting it doesn't make it go away.... dealing with it does.

    Just sayin

ESO - Play how you want

So long as it's not in a large group with another large group.

Really game was marketed as lag free massive AvAvA we had that up until 1.3 since then each patch things have went backwards as the sub numbers have I imagine. 3 days out from #secondattempt things should be running a lot better than this...

Sad part is after much umming and ahhing I really like the combat system and the changes of 1.6 apart from meteor spam and 18k heavy attacks they did a nice job. At this point closed world PvP is needed would take strain off cyrodiil and give players that don't enjoy being in the centre of a blockade, pulse, bat swarming zerg something to do.

would dig some arenas, capture the flag or even a 3 keep valley where you need to hold 2 to win or something of the sort.

That mod must be confused about his place in life. Either that or he doesnt know how this relation ship works. After 240$ spent on this game by most people who are still here and they only proceed to alienate players and take their sweet time fixing the game breaking... GAME. We have all the right in the world to make demands.

If i took 240$ from everyone of my customers and just shoo'd them out the door id be out of a job.... clearly i need to join the video game industry where i drag my customers face through the dirt and still make a hefty profit and tell them to just take it.

Yeah, I just read the thread that was locked and Tristan says that ZoS does not allow demands...... The thing is though, I didn't really see any demand other than fix your game which has been roughly a million times already without having a thread locked. This reflects very poorly on a company when they are silencing a paying customer and instructing said customer to not have reasonable expectations for the product that we were told about before purchase.

    This is just plain wrong.

The only thing I demand at this point is that ZOS will never be allowed to do a Fallout MMO... They'll just break another IP.

I don't think anyone is making demands. I believe that we are just expecting what was advertised or requesting a refund in full. Sure, saying that you have are attempting to fix it the past 8 months give or take is fine and tolerable but to say that a fix is a priority then going back and saying players need to not play in the same area which is against what was advertised is ridiculous.

We have been tolerant. We have given them time and funds. They just don't have the talent or resources to pull off what they advertised? I don't know but at this point it seems that way and it's incredibly frustrating. Especially when ZOS mutes everyone here on the forums for displaying their warranted displeasure with Zenimax Online Studios. Would they prefer legal action regarding the false advertisement instead of the rational requests being made here on the forums?

I'm ticked off and rightfully so, TristanK. I will ask politely... Please, fix your game.
