Possible additions to Cyrodiil, maybe not PvP so much but....

So Paul Sage has stated some of the issues in Cryrodiil arise when to many people are in one area at one time. Unfortunately this is what happens when you make a PvP zone. People verses People is the main theme in those areas.

The Developers are also asking for suggestions from everyone on how to entice people to "spread out" over the full of the landscape to alleviate some of the bottle neck.

What do you, the PvP community think about this idea?

As the thread title says " maybe not PvP so much but.." How about having additional or rotating keeps maned by Npc characters?

People could get a small/appropriate, hell even Large bonus to AP and yes even CP by attacking these keeps. Of course the Npcs guarding the Keeps would be almost "Guard strong", but not quite. As well there would be a larger number of them in the area.
The appearance of the Npc controlled keeps could be randomized as to not be set to one specific area or time of occurrence. Yes, this would be one of the most difficult parts to implement as to keep things "fair and even" but what in PvP isn't?

If these would be "Additional keeps" they could spawn in threes (3s) that way each Faction would be able to Siege a keep when the other two do as well. That would add more spacing out of people. Think of them as an opposing factions "Super Mega Forward camp." they could have the look of hastily built keep.
Upon a successful factions siege the camp would be demolished by the battle. They could also have a timer on them; maybe last for 90 minutes or so. If they do not get attacked with in a certain ammount of time they could "dissapear to return later.

To keep people from farming points over and over at these keeps, maybe have a counter placed on them... you can only get your full allocation of CP and AP on the first successful attack but then after you get a VERY STEEP diminishing return on them. Depending, of course on the frequency of the spawning of these camps. You could still participate in more than one siege, as to help out Guild mates or Group mates,; you just get fewer Points. The Npcs could be programmed to use the most common PvP builds/skills so as to keep player skills viable in the PvP zone that is Cyrodiil.

These keeps could be set up as a once a day, or once every 6 hours, or even a few times a week.ALL RANDOM spawning.

These keeps would have to be a tough fight, and take some focused effort as to equal the rewards one would get for a Successful siege. Keeping in mind though that while a large portion of your chosen faction is attacking one of these keeps, your other keeps could become sitting ducks. This way the Hard Core PvP players can stay true to their thrust for PvP action while also spliting up the crowds around Cyrodiil.

Well If anyone out there has any tweeks to this basic and rough idea/format please post a reply.

If you hate it and think it's a bad idea, please post some suggestions as to what could be changed or modified with it.

As I said this is a first draft.

Things that would get people to spread out? more objectives is #1.

Currently the only thing you can do in pvp is take keeps, once you've taken enough keeps you can take a scroll and get emp. So there is a massive focus on them, and its the only focus.

Cyrodiil is massive, when I was doing all quests there was soo many, and I mean more than 75% of the map is pretty empty, no one pvping would go out into that. Which gives ZoS the ability to create tons of stuff out in the world.

    >There could be caravans players could escort back to a keep to help gain points for their faction
    >There could be small resources/camps out in the world players could fight over to control to help increase their alliances points per hour
    >There could be events out in the world offering some prize(hefty amount of AP, maybe some new kind of pvp gear or someone selling new kinds of pvp armor or new/stronger siege for a short time) to the alliance that controls/completes it.

The Emperor-ship is indeed the main goal in Cyrodiil, but IMO this title maybe only achievable by a couple hundred or even a few dozen dedicated PvPers. Some changes to this model may have to take place with respect to the remaining player base; those that just prefer PvP to PvE and play casual or only a few hours a week. This may help in attracting more people into PvP as a main source of game time.

I reading many other threads in the forums, people are stating a desperate need for more Xp and Cp in Cyrodiil. With the suggestions you have posted being very viable solutions to achieve these gains as well..

These "Forward Camps" that I have suggested could be used towards the Emperor ship Achievement ranking as well, as a bonus point gainer.

Dramatically increase the exp rewarded by the town quest hubs.

Make completion of all 10 quests provide a several hour buff that benefits PvP players; the quests are dailies so players could pick up their preferred buffs once per day if they felt so inclined.

Turn the towns back into hotspots for small-scale PvP.

instanced 'battleground' type scenarios - with structured numbers and clear objs. Winner of instance is awarded some points to the campaign score - so you can small scale and contribute - and help even out the lag - just options basically of which there are few atm

    1. Multiply the xp gains from the cyrodiil towns/cities by x5-10

    2. Make cyrodiil dungeons give a lot more rewards and incentive to go through them

    3. Create locations with a large density resources/materials

    4. cyrodiil mobs should grant a lot of xp to encourage fighting over farm/grind spots.

What about a few areas that spawn like dolmens. Like imperial soldiers come out (a fair number so its quite hard) and if you (aimed at a group of 12) can kill them you get awarded a heap of xp/ap and a good prize like a chest with purple loot that could even be masters weapon or a forward camp.

This is the answer and something Erlexx has suggested as well. Make PvP Zones have the best gind spots. That way people will spread out to grind, and gankers will spread out to kill them :)
