Purchasing Items from other players

chrissouza7ub17_ESO
While a cool idea adding player venders around the world, why must I run around the map trying to find something I need. Why is there not a UI that lets me search all player venders at once for the item I want showing me who has the lowest prices. I should have an option to make the purchase and have it emailed to me with some sort of COD for mailing it, or the option to go pick it up at the vender. This will also drive the economy as venders will now try to keep there goods at a lower cost then competitors.
ZOS please think about implementing some system like this. I believe your 90% there, but we just need a UI to search for goods across all player venders at the same time.

What you are wanting is a global auction house. I wish we had one too. Technically we already have one, you just have to travel to 100 different traders to find what you are looking for. The only players who don't want a global auction house are the players running the guild traders. They wouldn't have a monopoly any more.

While I don't agree with your suggestion, I will recommend that you get an addon called AwesomeGuildStore.

It will make going around multiple traders looking for specific items much faster and easier.

The most maddening part is that every time you go to a different guild trader to look for the same item, you have to navigate the drop down menus again because it doesn't save your last query--even within the same zone. The system is designed to produce repetitive stress injuries, I think.

AwesomeGuildStore is a great Add on. Now if only that had the ability to search through all Guild Vendors at once it would need to be renamed EvenMoreAwesomeGuildStore..... Running from vendor to vendor to vendor to vendor gets old really fast.

I have found that I only really need to check certain guild traders for most of the common items that I need. For example, there is one guild trader I know that stocks all the food and drinks asked for with Crafting Writs. He sells 5 stacks for 100 Gold. Not always the cheapest per item, but I can get what i need if I don't have the recipe and finish the writ.

So, I have my favorite 10 or so guild traders in 3 towns or cities and those are the ones I check first, starting with the ones that I know have what I typically need.

Other than that, I just poke a trader kiosk from time to time to see what they have. Like one time I picked up a VR1 Signet of the Warlock and Focus of the Warlock for 50 and 100 gold respectively. Bargain of the Century right there.

So, instead of worrying about needing to visit every trader, just find the few that are convenient to you that stock what you need. It's easy to know if the pricing is good if you just pay attention to them as you shop. Then, shop around from time to time as you off doing your other things in the game.

Of course the random trader will lose the kiosk from time to time. However I find that the one that replaces them usually has a good stock too, or they have such a poor selection that they lose out on the kiosk the next week and the old faithful one comes back.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Awesome Guild Store saves your searches. I wish the game would do that, it only makes sense.

Universal Auction Houses have very different markets than the current guild stalls. Guild stalls encourage merchants to band together like they do in one main city in each faction, Rawlkha, Mournhold, Wayrest and they try to have a number of good stalls gathered together for the best selection. But having individual stalls also means that smaller sellers can still compete. join a trade guild in a less busy city and you can sell your goods without competing with megasellers who use their millions to dominate and control the market. For the common items this current system works well and gives more diversity to the market. Yes it can be harder to find the rarer items, but that adds some degree of realism and a challenge that some players enjoy.

I like having the guild stalls. I just don't like the current bidding system because it's all or none. Guilds get a stall, or they don't if just one guild bids against them and pays more.
