Weapon power and spell damage eventually stop while stamina and magicka scale way higher as the CP system progresses. If your a sorc with 20k magicka and you use Bound aegis you are getting 152 magical power in raw stats along with the 1600 extra resources. The extra 1.3% mitigation is just a bonus.

Bound Armor
This ability now grants you the buff Minor Resolve, and increases your maximum magicka by 5%.This bonus magicka does affect your ability damage.
The cost of the ability decreases with each rank of Bound Armor.
Bound Armaments (morph): This ability now costs Stamina instead of Magicka, gives you a bonus to stamina instead of magicka, and increases the damage done by heavy attacks.
Bound Aegis (morph): This ability now grants the Minor Warding and Minor Resolve buffs instead of additional armor.

You conveniently leave out the part of bound armaments increasing max stamina by up to 8%. Did you know sorc are the only ones to have this type of class buff? Solely with this buff they are capable of more physical damage then other classes as the CP system matures because Templar 6% weapon damage passive eventually caps out much faster than stamina will. That and a 11% heavy attack bonus. All for the sake of 1.3% less spell mitigation.
It's already an excellent DPS buff adding more to it would be to strong.
Once again, you keep bringing in DPS, where im talking about tanking., and since you want to talk about what classes have unique skills, templars have passive skills that allow them to do more damage to people who are blocking, and they also have a passive that increases their blocking vs enemies attacking them. THAT ARE ALWAYS ACTIVE.exiledtyrant wrote: »sarttsarttsarttub17_ESO wrote: »exiledtyrant wrote: »Bound armor already gives a large boost in magical or physical damage. Yes Bound aegis the mana variant is stronger than siphon toggle especially with the large 22% loss. You would need a specific example to compare it vs inferno as there are times when 10% crit is slightly better or much worse than the extra damage provided by an 8% damage/ resource boost. There's also no reason for a sorcerer to not be able to use mage light and bound armor so the point is moot. Not to mention they can make use of necropotence set bonus for 12% magicka with a pet which makes bound aegis even more valuable.
