I've started playing awhile ago, and the graphics are absolutely amazing, combat is fun, it's difficult, overall a really underrated MMO IMO.

However, the one issue I have is the game's requirements. Levelling seems extremely slow, to the point that from what I can tell, you have to complete pretty much every quest and every objective on the map in order to keep up with leveling. Is this true?

If so, the result is that if you find yourself unable (or unwilling) to complete one of the quests, you could find it impossible to reach Level 50.

I prefer taking my time to lvl, not just rushing to the end. It makes the world feel more real, to me. However, PVP and repeating dungeons can accelerate your lvling, and you might be able to find a guild to help Power Level you to endgame, if that's what you prefer.

I don't find this to be true at all. When I leveled 1-50 with several alts, and attempting to complete all quests in each zone, I frequently out-leveled the zones by 2-3 levels before finishing them all. At that time, I wished there was a way to shut off XP gains temporarily (like you can in WoW) so that I could enjoy the more challenging combat immersion while in the zone.

What happens when you hit lvl cap? People are leaving the game because their lifestyle and play style is "RUSH! HURRY! THE END IS THERE! MUST! GET! THERE! NOW!!!". Guess what? They get 'bored' because they don't enjoy the other 90% of the game.

Yes, I get excited when I ding, but I don't rush for it. I'm VR10 and on the 3rd Gold Quest zone. I'm going to be sad when I get through with all of the zones. I'll then work on my lower level toons and finish up some achieves.
[Hard Mode Dungeoneers] is recruiting all players of all levels for this new Guild.
THIS IS A NEW-BUT-GROWING GUILD. We are focused on doing vet pledges, vet dungeons, getting achieves, & doing hard mode bosses.
Most active GMT+10 (Australia time zone) in the afternoon Mon-Fri and all day Sat/Sun.

No, it's not true. If you do every quest in the zone you will be way overleveled for the next one, at least up until level 50 and maybe even the vet ranks too, not sure.

I recently leveled a new character from 1 to 50 in two days, so yeah I'd say if you want to level fast, it is definitely possible. If you want to take your time and enjoy the quests and level slowly, that's possible to do as well. But either way there is more than enough content to level up.

You can outlevel the zones, but it's true that you need to complete the lion's share of the content to stay level. At least 80% I'd say.

I'm about to complete Bankorai (group compulsory dungeon not included), which for EP is a v5 level zone of Cadwell's Silver. I Gained 1.1 veteran level doing it. I'm now v7 and 30% in towards v8. So far, I've consistently outleveled the veteran zones, but the margin is dropping slightly as I go along.

There's quite a few complaints about slow leveling. I get that. However, after my first playthrough, my own conclusion is that the big thing is not "how fast can I get to level 14", but "how do I get the most out of the content in terms of character development"before I run out of content. I use training and exploration traits and I always dump fully levelled abilities for new at the earliest opportunity. (I've even gone so far, in some instances, to reset my morphs and level the alternative, but I concede that's a bit excessive:) )

Lots of class abilities seem useless or, at best, redundant...................now. But you never know when ZoS decide to promote them to the next "Jesus beam", or, for that matter, relegate a current favourite.

Please stop making requests for game features. ZOS have enough bad ideas as it is!

Easily. I was 1.5 full zones ahead as of the 3rd Alliance zone, and that's before I hit dungeons regularly. Unless you're sneaking past everything, you'll have no problem reaching 50.

It seems like 10-15 takes forever. Same with 25-30. After that, it flys by. I was almost VR2 before I finally got around to finishing off the main quest, and that was just to unlock Silver.

Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

First off, I'm aware that ESO is not really intended to be an endgame MMO, and it certainly excels in other areas. My friend told me that if you just want to PvP and/or Raid, there are other, more streamlined MMOs out there with a similar style of combat (like TERA and Neverwinter). However, if you want to take in everything ESO has to offer, plus catch some dungeons and PvP, then the game is well worth playing.

My argument is that, especially since many quests open up others (for instance that long questline in Stonefalls that starts with Holgunn), you may find it difficult to reach that "80% completion" depending on which ones you may or may not want to do. In other MMOs like WoW, if you don't like questline A, while you may like questline B, for the most part you will have the option of choosing that one to complete instead.

I'm a fairly casual player myself, and I do appreciate the emphasis the game puts on choice and story.
