Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

It would be really cool if you said something to us about Cyrodiil

Like "hey guys, we know some of you have been having problems with stability and disconnects and we're working on it, right now."

That's all I'm asking for. I mean, I would like you all to fix it ZOS, but if you could at least acknowledge us, your paying customers and fans and just say yeah, we know, that would be cool.

Thanks.

They've already said performance issues are their top priority in Cyrodil and that they're constantly working on it.

Yes but they said it again recently, so the OP's point has been met.

*green text* bla bla performance issues bla bla sorry. *green text*

It's been like this for almost a year, guess it's time to accept that it will never be fixed.

B2P might bring new people, but definitely no new PVPers.

The life sucking torchbugs are already gone. What more could you want?

They already know it's there, they just don't know what it is.

A blanket statement is no good.

I would like something specific and time sensitive, maybe telling us exactly what they are working on and how and maybe why it's taking so long, like going on a year. A whole year.

    That's just common courtesy.

If it's been broken for about a year I doubt it will be fixed, find another game to pvp in or buy a better computer.

At what point do the words become meaningless when there are never any actions to back up those words? When does a lack of action become an issue for you?

I think its pretty clear now that they won't be fixing Cyrodiil in any way, shape or form. The silence speaks volumes, like some gagging order on anything pvp performance related. Obviously the truth can't be told, which is something along the lines of:

    1. It can't be fixed
    2. They don't know how to fix it
    3. It would require a serious injection of cash to upgrade hardware or source the required expertise

None of the above could they openly admit, hence the silence beyond the usual "performance is a top priority" sound bite.

What I'm asking for is some specificity and timeliness to show that, as others have suggested, they are not just tossing out a soundbyte or canned response.

For example, "We are aware that many players have been experienced problems with disconnects and crashes in Cyrodiil since the 1.6 patch went live. We have traced the problem to ___________ and we are now in the process of ________________.
The ETA on the patch to fix this is _________."

    That would be ideal.

If they can't do this, then I'm afraid that @pmn100b16_ESO is correct.

Also, it's not about my router or anything on my end. Several of my group mates/guildmates were have the same problem at the same time. I know this because we were talking about it in chat.

    "Disconnect incoming."

"Yep, same thing is happening to me."

    "Oh, it's error 1."

"Yes, I was stuck on the loading screen too, and now I have error 1."

    etc.

My understanding from the forums is that a lot of people have been reporting performance improvements in Cyrodil in recent months. Are you both claiming that no improvements have been made in 11 months? If so, what has kept you here on a monthly subscription for that long? If that's not what you're saying, then why complain that it's all been words and nothing has happened?

There certainly seem to be plenty who are playing in Cyrodil ok, given the constant complaints about lack of xp in PvP, lack of CPs in PvP, lack of class balance in PvP, and so on. I live in hope that one day people will actually enjoy the PvP and stop moaning about it all the time!

It is clear from your post you know nothing about what is happening in Cyrodiil. Performance has not improved at all in recent months and has gotten downright pathetic in 1.6. There aren't "plenty of people playing in Cyrodiil ok" unless you consider a small minority of what is left of the population. The number of people in that zone decreases weekly and even with reduced population caps there is only 1 campaign that locks and has a queue. Don't worry, at the rate it is degrading you will not hear anyone complain because there will be no one left in Cyrodiil
"it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days." - Matt Firor
