I wouldn't say "better", but now on par with each other. The lightning staff has always been more responsive (faster weaving) than the inferno staff. Couple that with the disintegration and it's a little better dps overall, but marginal at best. This really depends on your build, but I'd say lighting better unless you're going for a fire build.

The "issue" I'm seeing is that base/sustained sorc dps is reletively low and crutching on passive procs and crits to do very high bursts. So one might see very wide ranges of dps over just a couple parses. Like a 5-8k difference in sustained dps of when disintegration and might of the guild procs, LL and velocious curse crits, etc. So having the lighting staff to proc disintegration is almost needed (aka. can't be ignored).

What are you talking about... Duel is good dps and extremely good aoe.... It depends on your build duel wield works good for long sustained DPs... Two hander is the best for single target burst DPs...

Some people prefer quality over quantity.
Being able to hit 10X 20K over 15X 15K looks better, but in dungeon your better of with the later then first option.
I have used a build before that made me hit no more than 250 (pre 1.6), yet i could spam it for over 2-3 minutes without having to worry about my life and resources.

Was it good enough to fight in dungeon groups. Nope, because it was too low.
When running a public dungeon (with random other people), who was walking in front? Me, because all those other people did 2 kills and had to recharge their resources and i didn't have to stop because the 10 seconds i was out of combat because i walked towards the next group was enough to recover the resources i spend during the last fight.

(Dual wielding is the key to the second one, while those other people where 2h smashers. They killed faster... sure... but at what price?)

I've seen wrath edit his meters before! The man cannot be trusted!

Nah... but two of our guild's DK caster's pulled 12k on the serpent a couple nights ago. I've been tweaking and tweaking my NB bow user and finally I got my bloodspawn dps up to 13.5k over minute parse (no executes, just bow) and my caster NB friend got his up to 12.5k as well. Lots of potential out there, and I'm looking forward to developing caster and stam NB builds more.

How can you get the bow that high? I have a buffed 3600 weapon damage, and can't get anywhere near that. Unless FTC is giving the wrong DPS?

Redid the bloodspawn today, and pulled 16.6k.

Not quite ready to share everything because i'm still testing lots of things out, but i'm still primarily working out of morag tong and hawkeye sets.

What is this build and does it use Sea of Flames? Been having issues with this skill...
