PvP Cyrodil some serious issues that NEED FIXING NOW

Bugs I experienced tonight in Cyrodil Thornbladewith and without my add ons enabled (as in they happened to me multiple times and I have reported them)

-Setup a siege weapon multiple times and was not able to use it . . . also could not dismantle them no indicators for anything . . . very useless when trying to stop 50 or more EP headed your way

-Game crashed while sieging a keep

- Saw players frozen in mid air

- A lot of other little things that detract from the PvP experience

***Please do not tell me this is a problem with my system here are my specs 32GB Ram, Nvidia Geforce GTX Titan graphics card, Intel 4770k i7 3.5Ghz processor, Asus Gene VI motherboard, 3 SSD hard drives two at 500gb and 1 at 120GB ESO ison one of the 500gb ones with plenty of memory

If I am experiencing problems it is simply not on my end especially when I disable all my addons

I have been playing since Beta, I have always subscribed for 6 month periods and I intend to keep doing so cause I like the game. Please fix these issues now. ZOS you will not have success if your game is not sharp going into your console release. I expect a reply from someone in your customer service in response to this thread. If I am a loyal player and customer and I am frustrated that means all the new players you pick up will pack their bags if these issues persist.

"it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days." - Matt Firor

Oh and EVERY time I go look at the map it activates cursor mode, which is SUPER annoying and game interferring cause you have to switch back to normal mode by pressing a button.

All of those things are normal. Those features have been in PvP since launch.

If my siege worked every time and I didn't see players frozen in mid-air, I'd submit a bug report because.

That bug is caused by the 'buy multiple' option at the siege vendor, don't buy multiple and you will not get the bug any more.

Lol, or forward your ports? Or flush your DNS? Or any of the multiple other suggestions I get back in the form letters every time I contact support about the horrible latency and lag in the game?

Funny how it's always our fault.

I have never really had any issues with gameplay interference and I've played since launch. (Discounting general latency lag due to a mass amount of people/spells/etc in an area.. that's normal to experience a tiny bit of lag in an MMO).

However today it's been a literal nightmare. Tried to get into Vet Spindleclutch today. Hitting freeze spikes that last 3s or so. Shut down the game completely, got back in.. it was fine. Later I'm in Cyrodiil. SAME thing. Huge lag spikes that makes it seem like my game is crashing. No crash. Game responds... eventually...

Happened again when I zoned to quest in Auridon.

Not to mention the SEVERE frustration due to the enlightenment bugs. I finally get the buff back, get to Auridon, pull the first mob (and it was ONE mob) and I hit the 2s lag spikes that make the game seem like a slide show.

Log off.. log back in. Poof. Enlightenment is gone.

Pardon my rage. I'm in the same boat. My rig is fine, my connection is fine. Yes I've turned it off and on again. And my stuff is plugged in :P

OHHHHHH so this bug is supposed to be acceptable . . . OMG ZOS fix this bug NOW . . . what the heck . . . hire some coders to make hotfixes 24/7 or something

Game is ruined now. Good job ZOS. If you have any more bright ideas or things you wanna add to the game, do us a favor...Keep It To yourselves. Save yourself another embarrassment. Its obvious now you have NO CLUE what you are doing!

Honestly, I've been very civil up to this point, but now I'm thinking sheer outrage at the lack of responsiveness from ZOS is in order. ARE YOU TRYING TO LOSE YOUR PC/MAC CUSTOMER BASE? Someone should be fired at this point and someone with more competence brought in . . .

My only hope at this point is that we can turn the forums into a giant complaint box and finally see some progress . . . Once they stabilize the game then maybe, maybe they can deliver us some fun stuff.

It's about time for a definitive answer: ZOS, are you seriously trying to make PvP work, or is it just a sidetrack? For me, the PvP part is the one usp that distinguishes ESO from other games. The PvE part isn't much different from other MMOs (except for those hardcore elder Scrolls fanbase... but can these people really support a game?).

My most important problems (Thornblade EU):

    - Lag. Since 1.6, even smaller groups experience it with high latency, skills and doors not responding, It now happens occasionally when you are not even close to the action.
    - sometimes all skills stop working, can't press any key
    - crashes to desktop are back, happen to me once or twice every evening
    - indicators vanishing, forcing uns to restart the client

I just want a version roll-back to 1.2 or 1.3. At least then large battles where supported with less lag. I remember at start i was amazed how many people it could handle at once and even made loads of screenshots to show it to my buddies. Now the groups you encounter are smaller and cause major lag. Feels like SWTOR PvP.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

It's totally acceptable to tank the game's performance a couple of months after it has released and then not fix it for the coming year. I mean, a sale is a sale right? Buy to Play is coming and the suckers who bought into the expensive extended beta can sod off.

    Right?

For a sake of comparison, here is what happens when Lag or bugs are reported in a PvE Zone. Look at the 5th and 47th response. Same day response and resolution.

Are we playing two different games here? Are PvP'ers second class citizens of Tamriel?

That's because PvE zones are inherently much easier to fix. While I dislike ZOS' near complete disregard for PvP just as much as anyone else, one should understand that Cyrodiil is in a totally different ballpark compared to a PvE zone. If there was a 'fix' they could apply, they would have done so long ago. The problem is that so far nobody at ZOS even seems to have the faintest clue about how to fix Cyrodiil, as evidenced by laughable 'fixes' like removing deer and torchbugs and lowering the population cap.

Yes , that's right, we are second class citizens. ZOS just ignore us.

AKA the "programming is hard" excuse. I see this type of response frequently. Yes, programming is hard. Taking a pre-built graphics engine and then adding all the netcode that is required for PvP takes some very talented programmers.

And that is why you hire talented programmers and pay them a salary commensurate with their experience - oh wait, why am I falling out of my chair. When you don't invest the resources you need, you don't get a high quality product. Other games have massive online PvP, its a matter of how much they care about PvP, and how much we let them know we care.

Nausea aside, your Cat does make an important point, which I will illustrate with further cats.

I'm as guilty of this as anyone. Guess I need to start taking carebear lessons. Despite all the frustration and neglect we feel, perhaps we need to modify our approach a bit from angry kitty to sad kitty.

I expect there will be a special item in the Crown Store, maybe a potion named "Khajit Swiftness Mojo" which will give "5 minutes lag-less Cyrodill experience" with a note "works only when used by one character in Cyrodill at a time"...

The sad kitty is going to grow up and be an angry kitty . . . Okay but that's beside the point, there is a lot of rage in the PvP community and it can't keep on being ignored or marginalized
