Best Healing Class? Race?

It's not difficult to beat a Templar healer as a Nightblade. Remember, you don't need a burst heal if the group has a constant 6k health a tick regen constant.

This is without Healing Springs or the 31-40.5k group heal which also gives a 10k life-tap synergy and 30% increased healing over 4 seconds (which boosts the Health Funnel and Rapid Regen to 8k HPS per target).

    The best is purely subjective.

In VDSA where some mobs hit for 20K damage and others hit for 5k through block, your 6k health a tick won't help anyone. Same for Sanctum Ophidia, if someone has bleeding effect + gets caught by a stomp, only a BOL while the player is mid air will save him.

Edit: Then again, you got 15k Health so you get one shot in both instances anyways.

The 20k you're talking about is a timed attack and situational, it isn't a spammed problem. The 6K is not what I heal with, it simply keeps everyone at 100%. I have burst heals for the 20k trigger. One I can spam for 14k and soul siphon for 30k+. The problem with the 30K one is it's limited to only 6 targets which is more than BoL and I can only cast it every 30 seconds.

I have 22k health now and healing went down 4% which was the only tradeoff I allowed. When the hit happens, people take the 20k dmg, but the moment that happens they are already getting healed for 6k that moment, and all I would have to do is heal 14k.

Add to that, the regens don't rely on a healer being quick on the trigger. It allows for a much higher buffer to the burst heals. It's an amazing combo. I am a primary healer for our VDSA runs and I have literally zero problems healing. Easier actually since I barely use mana when compared to our 3 templars in guild who heal when I'm not on or busy.

So no, I don't use the regen spam as a primary heal.

Templars are really fun because of the multiple ways you help in combat. Healing is good and all but if that's where you stop, you are not a good templar healer. Temps should also be apply buffs, debuffs, and dps when available.

Things temps should also be adding while healing

    Luminous Shards....Stam for the tank
Purifying Ritual....Added heals plus debuff removal
    Purifying Light....Added DPS for everyone
Circle of Protection.....Added armor for ranged
    Repentance.....stam regen from dead adds
Steadfast Ward....shields for ppl taking damage
    Heavy Atk .......regen mana
    Radiant Destruction.....Execute DPS

If you are doing those mentioned above while also healing, you'll be contributing significantly more to the success of the group than just a healer.

And stam for your stam DPS as well.

The above are the real advantages of Templars. My NB DPS <3 shards.

Any class can use a restoration staff, but Templars are the only class that have class healing skill lines.

    My Templar is Redguard.

Since Redguard hates necromancy being a Templar sounds great

The single best thing about a Templar healer is the stamina regen (by spears and repentance) they offer the party. And with the current state of tanking, stamina regen is as important as heals.

abelsgmx is quite a healer... he even can resurrect a year old thread...

Beside that, with recent changes templars aren't that ahead any more.
Once I was a healer. Then I took a Wrobel to the knee.
