Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

I somehow glitched outside of the Riften Outlaws Refuge... by walking.

The title pretty much says it all. All I did was take a few steps forward, and BOOM! I fell through a black abyss and then a world spawned and I died. Upon reviving, I was in this huge desert. Later... well you'll see in the video.

Probably fell through a Mesh. It has happened in every TES game every made. It is rare to have it happen, but the game will send you somewhere. In Morrowind, it would be just north of Balmora, which was the 0,0 coordinates of the map.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I landed very close by. I just don't want to spoil where I landed.

The edge of Tamriel. Far east of Shadowfen. And as always the primordial waters from whence it all came lies below. abyss_zps8911321c.jpg
There is a teleporter around BRK that can send you to places you can't normally go in Cyrodiil. I keep forgetting to try it but someday I'm going to try to get into bravil. If I ever make it i'll take pics, or easyvid it.

I know it's technically a bad thing, but I like it when I can get outside the map in games. I find it kind of amusing and fascinating.

Although it is annoying if you're stuck there, especially in games that don't have any type of fast travel, that can make it extremely hard to get back in to the map.

Looks like you fell into the new Cyrodiil created to eliminate lag. Good find!
"it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days." - Matt Firor
