Never-ending Load Screen after LOGIN

TryynityB

Since Update 1.6.5 I downloaded entire update. Would press play on launcher and with Error 11 - I ran repair for Error 11 with no success. (re Ticket No = # 150304-002586) This was solved with Patch 1.6.6 @ 09Mar2015

New problem =

1. Press Play, launches, get to login, enter details.. then enter. Goes to endless load screen and get no further.

I have done all other suggestions ie - Run as Admin, Firewall, Graphics updates.

I clicked repair and it wants to download the entire update again... should I do this?

Should I repair every-time it asks me to? Keep in mind I have limited Gig allowance (25gbs) I already begged my IP for extra to do the 1st Repair... it also take 24+ hours due to slow speed. I dont want to waste time & GBs if this is a stab in the dark fix.

 Stranded gamer chick desperately missing her friends.... please Halp! I am determined to find the solution!

cheers

I am having the same problem. Endless loading screen. Are you running this on a laptop? What kind of graphics card do you have?

I thought I was having an infinite loading screen also, but then I decided to let it sit. It eventually went through to the character select screen after about 20 minutes of idling.

Yeah, I did that and waited 20 minutes, and i got in, but I don't think that means this is working properly....

A number of my friends have told me it took ages to get it to load so I am trying that now.

I will keep you updated. I have a slow connection - that could be making things worse for me.

Oh, I agree it isn't working properly. It just isn't really an "infinite" loading screen. Just a "OMG THIS IS TAKING TOO FREAKIN LONG" loading screen. :D

I have been told to run a repair again by tech support and as bunch of other stuff to do with host connection. Ill keep at this :) I am determined.

I will keep updating in case anyone else has this problem.

I have to say Tech Support are doing an awesome job - a little frustratingly slow due to Timezone differences but that cannot be helped.

I hope I get NBN sorted soon, so Internet issues will be eradicated.

I finally got home and ran the repair and then did the long wait and it worked, i hope this gets some visibility so that they can sort out why this is even happening.

Was this the first login after a patch? It always takes forever and I don't think there is a solution. I just wait it out, sometimes I force close the game and restart it, but I don't know if it actually helps. I'm running a Lenovo u530 with an nvidia 730m graphics card.

It happens every time I run the game.

I have been getting this as well, except it actually is never ending. Left my game on the loading screen after waiting for 10 minutes and went to work. 6 hours later, hubby came home and it was STILL on the loading screen. I've tried force quitting and just about everything else. Just can't get past this main loading screen. I'm avoiding repairing, but I suppose that should be my next step. I'll update when I do that.

I have had to run repair daily to get a game that works for 15 to 20 minutes and then have it go non interactive and boot me to the login screen with no errors or with the <<1>> error trying to log back in. After about 2 hours of this I can get about 30 minutes to 60 minutes of actual game time

This slow Character Loading Screen after login has recently started for me as well. Normally, it is well under a minute.

The game has been fine since v2.0.5, but since yesterday, when I logged into the game, it took several minutes to get through to the Character Load screen.

I ran repair yesterday, but this doesn't seem to have fixed it for me.

I do get through, but it takes several minutes and wonder if anyone has found a work around to improve the time to Character Loading Screen?

Thanks and have fun out there.

So much for welcome back weekend. I see this issue has still not been addressed.
    • Update patch
    • Close launcher after update b/c my experience has been launcher will just crash the game if I try to use it immediately
    • Open launcher
    • 10 minute loading screen to get to character select screen
    • 3-5 minute loading screen to get to actual character selected

    Windows 7 64bit
    Intel i7 920 2.67GHz
    12GB RAM
    NVidia 570GTX

Admittedly my desktop is a little old. But that doesn't explain the exact same behavior for my laptop:
    Window 8.1 64bit
    Intel i7-4710HQ 2.50GHz
    Nvidia GTX 850M

Both use a dedicated game SSD.

Trying lowering Shadows in your settings. I have a rather beefy desktop with everything overclocked--cpu running at 5gz and my gtx 760 running in its OC setting as well and still have to drop shadow details to avoid the longer loading times.

My ISP tends to internet shape my traffic after 7pm at night and drops my speeds to about a third of what they should be--I believe that slow internet speed could lead to difficulty syncing with your account on the server. Nevertheless, good luck.
