Cadwell's Silver - 5,000 XP Reward - too low?

I finally got around to finishing Silver yesterday. Turned it into Cadwell for a measly ~5,000 XP. What's the idea behind rewarding one regular quest worth of XP for finishing ALL of the Silver content?

Well I mean you did get all the xp from the quests in silver right?

Yeah true. But I didn't have to do all of those quests. They were done to work towards an end goal which is completing Silver and eventually Gold. Would have been nice to get a more lofty XP reward for actually hitting that mark.

I can get that same amount for a trivial PvP quest. In fact I think that is the lowest quest xp amount there is in this game.

I think they should just drop the XP and give you a CP for completing all 5 zones for silver and gold. That way it keeps your actual level appropriate to the next zone you have to enter.

I dont think just the turn in should grant you a ton of xp. 5k sounds about right.

And yet you still received millions of XP for completing them. Seems silly to double up on that.

I'm not trying to negate that a lot of XP is gained along the way. It would just be nice get a "hey, congrats for completing the whole deal, here's a decent XP reward!" It's just anti climactic getting the same 5k xp.

The 5 Million or so Exp I got from the zones in Caldwell's Silver is enough Exp for me.

What sucks is the reward, a Blue Ring or Necklace that is not any more powerful than something I can find, or have already found, in the game. It's not even Purple.

We should get a Purple or even a Gold item, that has some teeth to it, for a reward. Perhaps even a list of items to choose from like the Fighter's Guild does with the Prismatic weapon you get. And, that is a weapon that has some teeth and utility, with an extra 50 points of damage to Daedra/Undead.

That was the kind of reward I was looking for from Caldwell. Something useful.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Yeah, that's basically my point. The overall reward was just kind of lame. Sure a skill point is nice but you get past VR5 by the time you're done all the quests so the 5K XP and blue VR5 necklace are useless.

Also the 300 gold, or whatever it was. That's what makes it all worthwhile. :p

I dont really care about the final turn in. You get all kinda of xp and items from the quests. The final turn in shouldnt be some uber thing. You get 5k some gold and an item you may or may not use. Seems fair to me.

If you are going to complain about Caldwell's completion rewards, you may as well complain about ALL the quest rewards. The only item I ever got that proved useful was the Prismatic weapon from Fighters Guild. EVERYTHING else was good for nothing except vendor. My crafted items are better. Better jewelry can be found or bought. I certainly don't do quests for the rewards, only the XP.

So you slave away for countless hours for good ol' Cadwell, exploring and completing several vast areas, and all he has to show his appreciation is more or less the same as what some random dude out the wilderness gave you for rescuing his dog?

I agree that the reward is fair, relative to other quests. I wouldn't ask for it to be unfair necessarily, just... Better? Unique? Something to give you a little more incentive and that feeling of "F yeah, I reached my goal!"

I personally do not bother with crafted gear until I hit VR1. The quest drops are plenty good enough for 1-50 content.

Remember that the only possible quest XP rewards currently (for Lvl 50 quests like Cadwell's) are 499, 3742, 4990, 7485 or 11227. Since all other Main Quest sections give the highest value, I would agree that Cadwell's should give 11227. Something more than that would be great, but would likely involve more work for ZOS to fundamentally change how quests reward their XP. (Indifferent on the blue item; maybe purple would be better...)
